What a fabulous find. The cottage, the location, the setting, the village. So peaceful. If you want a peaceful retreat for a week or two then this is a must. The cottage is spacious enough, well laid out, clean and has all the basic appliances that you would need. The bed is very comfortable and there is ample headroom - for someone who is 62 tRead morehis is important. The bathroom is more than adequate and spacious. There is parking outside and no traffic constantly roaring past. A blessing! No complaints at all. Location wise:- There are no shops, no endless coffee shops or charity shops - not against them personally but refreshing not to have them. There is just one coffee shop which was the original village store - really friendly staff and great coffee+cake. The one pub/hotel is charming. There is a a reasonable amount of drink available and the food is excellent. The menu is limited but with so much choice comes more indecision. There is often entertainment on a Friday evening in the garden bar. There are various routes into Rowen and it is but a short drive to the B road to Conwy or Llanrwst. I could go on but then it could be misconstrued as paid review - which this is not. I stayed there. Hide
