This is a great location to use as a base when visiting the area. Very quiet, clean and equipped. Good links into town and surrounding area. We walked into Rye. We also caught the train to Hastings as well as driving to other places such as Camber Sands. We had a toddler with us. The house was really well equipped including some books and toys for Read moreyounger ones. There was also a travel cot etc although we didnt need those. We had a lovely break and would recommend this property Hide

A lovely house in very quiet location and well equipped. Local footpaths take you into Rye in 10-15 minutes depending on how fast you walk. A visit to Battle Abbey is highly recommended (essential you ask for the audio tour where explanations of the site and battle are enlightening).

We loved our stay at Valley View - the house is so well-equipped and is an excellent location for exploring Rye and the surrounding area. The welcome basket was very welcome - the best weve ever had - and it was a lovely touch to include locally-produced items. A lovely house, very clean and really comfortable beds. The seating in the lounge wasn't the most comfortable, also no fans were available to cope with the very hot weather. The housekeeper was not contactable throughout our stay. Also the coffee pods in the welcome pack were 2 years out of date!

We had a really lovely stay at Valley View in Rye. The house is in a quiet spot with dedicated parking, and just a 10 minute pleasant walk into town on some paths avoiding the main roads. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable in every way. A lovely stay in a comfortable, very well equipped and well furnished property. Although on an estate its very quiet with no noise from neighbours and very little passing traffic. There is a playground a couple of minutes away, and the town is walkable in under 15 minutes giving access to a large variety of eating places.

We had a great stay, the house was spotless, on arrival we were greeted with a fabulous welcome basket. The weekend was a great success, 8 people in the house and some friends came over for an Abigail's Party night, we thought we would need to get platters for the food but the kitchen was so well equipped we had every thing we needed and more. Valley View is a lovely house in a quiet area within walking distance of Rye. A fantastic welcome basket was provided and the house contains all the equipment needed for a comfortable stay. We were a family of 4 which included an 11 year old grandson and an 80 year old granny! The only downside were the sofa and chairs in the lounge which werent veRead morery comfortable.
