The property lies on the outskirts of Wombourne, a bustling village with a charming village green and a choice of traditional inns and independent shops. Walkers can follow the route of the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal past the historic Bratch Locks and towards the Smestow Valley Local Nature Reserve (6.5 miles). To the east of the property, the impressive Himley Hall (2.5 miles) is set within 180 acres of parkland designed by Capability Brown. Other local attractions include the Black Country Living Museum, Dudley Zoo and Castle, the Dudmaston Estate, Bodenham Arboretum and Bantock House, all within 11 miles. The West Midlands Safari Park is in Kidderminster, where you can catch the Severn Valley Railway (14 miles).

Off-road parking is available for three cars, and there's also bike storage. Please note the driveway is on a very steep slope and is accessed along the canal – larger vehicles are not recommended. An unfenced river runs along the bottom of the garden, and access to the canal is unrestricted – please keep children and pets supervised.
