Tucked away down a quiet lane, this delightful holiday property provides the ideal base for a couple or small family on a Yorkshire Dales escape. Set alongside the River Nidd, this property’s garden has a gate that leads down to the riverbank, a spot that is popular for wild swimming. Here, you can enjoy a picturesque 3-mile walk into the neighbouring village of Pateley Bridge, which boasts a whole host of quirky shops and cafes to explore. Situated in the heart of Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, there is an abundance of scenic walks and cycle routes for those of all abilities. The impressive natural formations at Brimham Rocks and Cistercian monastery ruins at Fountains Abbey are both must-see attractions and can be reached within 9 miles.

Cleverly designed in an 'upside-down' fashion to make the most of the wonderful views over the garden, the living space at this delightful holiday home is on the first floor. Enter from the patio area into the bright and spacious lounge, situated in the orangery (which has fitted blinds). Here, you can relax on the comfortable sofas and watch a movie on the TV, or read a book in peace and tranquillity whilst enjoying the splendid countryside that surrounds you. A set of folding doors lead through to a dining room with plenty of space to enjoy an evening family meal or lazy brunches. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with everything you could need. There is also a handy WC and cloakroom on this level. When it is time to retire for the evening, descend the stairs where you will find two double bedrooms. The first is large and bright with plenty of storage space and has an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is cosy with restricted access to one side of the bed. Completing the accommodation is a shower room.

Outside, you can enjoy a peaceful private terrace with plenty of seating and a BBQ for dining alfresco in the summer months. There is also a large lawned garden that slopes down towards the river.

A lovely cottage in a good setting with a great outlook. Owners very friendly and helpful. Well equipped, clean, comfortable and very spacious for two people.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Riverside Cottage. We found it very well-equipped, clean, comfortable and cosy. It was ideal for our purposes, as a great base for walking: very quiet and peaceful and yet also very easy to access from the main road.

Lovely house and very comfortable. Liked the upside down living, which took advantage of such a great garden. We had everything we needed and the one problem we encountered was soon sorted.

Nice place to stay, well equipped and clean and tidy. Main issue is that the conservatory is too hot when the sun is shining and so bright that the TV is impossible to see, but nice weather so out most of the time

Lovely cottage in a great location. Immaculately clean and absolutely everything you need is accommodated for in the kitchen. Very spacious with the exception of the second bedroom, but not a problem as the bed was so comfy.

A really lovely cottage. Perfect location to explore the Dales and surrounding area. The beds are very comfortable and living area is also comfortable to relax in. We spent most evenings sitting outside on the patio area watching the sun go down, listening to the sound of the river.
