Visit the local country inn serving home-cooked food just 100 yards away or take a stroll down into Oxenhope (0.5 miles). There is an abundance of tracks and trails to explore straight from the doorstep, including the renowned Bronte Way which runs directly across from the property. The popular village of Haworth is just 2 miles away boasting a wealth of quirky shops, quaint cobbled streets and a variety of eateries. Nearby, the famous Keighley & Worth Valley Railway (2 miles), an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out for people of all ages. Wonderfully converted, taking inspiration from a host of world-renowned artists, this stunning chapel combines original period features with a contemporary twist. Adorned with unique stained-glass windows, beams, reclaimed wood panelling and an abundance of artwork, it truly provides an unforgettable stay.

Step through the front door into a wood-clad entrance hall, the perfect spot to leave coats and muddy boots. There is also a handy cloakroom and WC. Renovated in an upside-down fashion, to make the most of the beautiful countryside views, on the ground floor you will find five sumptuous bedrooms. The first, inspired by Vincent Van Gogh, is bright and spacious, boasting a super-king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with free-standing bath, shower cubicle and WC. Along the corridor is a king bedroom decorated in the style of Gustav Klimt with beautiful regal colours giving a cosy feel. Down the hallway, you will find a unique twin bedroom with quirky paddle-stairs up to a snug area with very low ceilings, an ideal retreat for children. This room is wonderfully bright and inspired by Frida Kahlo. It features games and books. There are two more bedrooms: one double bedroom, inspired by Henri Matisse, and one zip-and-link king size bedroom (which can be made up as a twin upon request) in the style of David Hockney. Completing the ground floor is a family bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle and WC. Moving upstairs, you will find the main hub of the house, the wonderful lounge/diner with an abundance of original features. There is ample seating for ten in the lounge and a stylish dining table sits in the back of the room, perfect for a family meal. Relax on the comfortable sofas and take in your historic surroundings or stand by the window and paint a picture of the stunning countryside views on the easel and art supplies provided. A spiral staircase leads up to a quirky loft space with low sloping ceilings. It features some games and books as well as an Xbox and Smart TV making it the ideal area for children and teenagers to relax. Off the lounge area, you will find the kitchen, which is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine. There is also a Smart TV to keep the little ones quiet while you rustle up the evening meal. The lower ground floor is a unique and wonderful entertaining space and boasts a sauna and cinema room with Smart TV. There is also a handy utility room with a washer/dryer and fridge.

Stepping out from the utility, you will find yourself in a large, enclosed patio area. Here, you can unwind in the hot tub or relax around the fire pit on the comfortable furniture as you enjoy a BBQ on a summer’s evening. To the front of the property is a small seating area with bistro table, enjoying unspoilt views over the surrounding countryside. There is off-road parking for four cars and a secure bicycle store.

The cottage has excellent facilities to keep the whole family entertained. The hot tub, cinema room and gaming room were particular favourites with the children. The kitchen is well equipped and the main living area has plenty of space for everyone to congregate.

This house is fabulous, myself and 9 other ladies stayed here for a long weekend of celebrations (Birthdays). Owners very accommodating and split beds into singles when requested. It is well equipped with everything you could possibly need, all you need to take is food and drink. Short drive away to Haworth and 10 minutes walk down to the railway. We met up for a family gathering of 10 between the ages of 11 and 70, so the space and equipment were very good. We found the property generally quite dark and also in need of refurbishing in several areas. It would have been nice to have some washing machine tablets provided and perhaps some more games, particularly for the kids.
