This delightful property is set in an idyllic location yet close to the North Devon coastline, making it ideal for couples or families alike. The setting of this property provides a real escape and guests are encouraged to explore the gardens Although a countryside retreat there are many wonderful beaches, coastal walks and sheltered coves nearby, as well as local towns and fishing villages such as Clovelly and Appledore. Bideford with its well-known pannier market, and shops. Bude and Westward Ho! are also within easy reach, perfect for surfers and sunbathers alike. Larger attractions such as the family theme parks ‘The Big Sheep’ and ‘The Milky Way’ or RHS Rosemoor and Dartington Crystal all provide a great day out.

Stepping into the property through a handy porch an ideal spot for shoes, boots and coats, you are greeted into an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, the decor is light and a double aspect window allows natural light to flood in. There is a feature stone fireplace with wood burner, lots of artwork and a Smart TV/DVD and comfy seating. The dining area offers plenty of room to eat together and the kitchen area includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Into the hallway and you will find a bathroom with shower over bath and WC and two bedrooms one king-size with TV and en-suite shower and WC and one zip and link king-size.

Head outside upon opening the doors from the master bedroom or the lounge area and you find a glorious decking area with garden furniture and BBQ overlooking the established acre of private garden. Ample off-road parking for three cars.

Loved it. Warm and cosy, beds good. All on one floor. Logs for woodburner readily available but storage heaters keep the place warm. Garden lovely, can be exited out into larger next door garden which gives access to their private wood and adjoining paddock - a real boon for stretching the dogs legs before heading out. Beautiful, peaceful, rural cottage with a very well equipped kitchen. Comfy, cosy and clean! Lots of games and books which was lovely on a rainy day! Local to many beautiful walks. Stunning garden, although not secure for dogs.

Very isolated down very narrow lanes with very few passing places. Dogs had to be on lead or inside cottage all the time due to garden and paddock being insecure. Cottage itself is clean and comfortable. The owner, Hugh was extremely helpful when my 15 year old dog escaped the garden! This is a comfortable well equipped cottage in a quiet location. The gardens and grounds are extensive and great for dogs. The cottage is located down Devon country lanes and a good base for exploring what North Devon has to offer.

Clean and comfortable cottage with 9 acres of lawns, woodland and meadows available to walk in . Very generous extras provided, wine, milk, scones , preserves and cream ,chocolates etc . Very helpful and friendly owners next door .

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. A great location to visit local attractions. It was a brilliant holiday for the dogs having the use of the field for walking. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay and were awake early as they loved the garden so much.

Thoroughly enjoyed. Very dog friendly and wonderful grounds for our sole use. Rural and quiet. Very relaxing - not far from main visitor sites of Appledore, Instow and Clovelly. Very good gastro -pubs/ inns nearby, too as is the Atlantic Village retail park. Highly recommend. Hosts were very accommodating and welcoming, nothing too much bother.
