It is with good reason that many holidaymakers return to Ilfracombe year-on-year, and guests fortunate enough to be staying at this seafront apartment will soon see why. The town has something to offer everyone, whether they like to spend relaxing days at the beach, shop till they drop, or explore the town’s heritage and culture. The unusual Tunnels Beach is an idyllic place to spend a day at the seaside, with its picturesque beach, tidal pool, and café, all accessed via a system of amazing hand-carved tunnels. The town also boasts an aquarium, a range of shops, and a harbour from where visitors can choose to take a fun boat trip out to sea. The town also enjoys a special connection with the highly regarded British artist, Damien Hirst, who has chosen the town as the home for his largest work to date, a huge bronze and steel sculpture of warrior woman, Verity, who proudly guards the town’s harbour.

Part of a striking Victorian Terrace, just a few steps lead to the entrance to this split-level ground floor apartment. The large lounge area has comfy seating for everyone to relax and watch the TV with Netflix, or why not take a seat in the large floor to ceiling window and take in the breath-taking views the property has to offer, head into the kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine. Going down to the lower ground floor you will find the two bedrooms, a large double with patio doors leading outside and a twin. Completing the accommodation is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Heading outside from the double bedroom, you will have access to the shared communal terrace which stretches right to the oceans edge. Parking available at the local car park, permits can be purchased prior to arrival online.

We stay for the view, amazing, location is ideal, parking is not ideal, but free parking nearby on Granville Road, we have been several times and love the walks in both directions and the wonderful beach at Woolacoombe.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the view is breathtaking - we could easily have spent the whole week drinking tea and looking out of the window, but it's also a great location to explore Ilfracombe and the stunning North Devon coast so we enjoyed some beautiful walks with our dog, who also had a fantastic holiday. I chose this apartment to enable one son and partner to stay for the first part of the week followed by my other son to visit an a day basis with their dog in the later part of week. Suited that arrangement superbly. Ideally situated. Short walk into town. Very spacious , well equipped , comfortable , apartment in a great location close to the harbour .The uninterrupted view from the living room or patio area out onto the Bristol Channel is unbeatable . I'd recommend buying a car park permit ( 56 for 7 days ) prior to arrival as it's 15 / 24hrs otherwise.

Such an amazing view from the living room window - while away the time watching the sea, boats and birds. I almost wished for a storm just to be able to watch it from the sofa! But also a very comfortable and well equipped property, convenient for everything that Ilfracombe has to offer.

Ilfricombe is a nice town and this apartment is well situated to its Main Street and Quay. The view of the sea is stunning from the sitting room and it a comfortable room, the kitchen islovely and bright. With the exception of the double bedroom the decor is a bit of a mismatch and doesnt compliment ilfricombe or the sea. The lower bedroom area is Read morecooler than the top living area. Sofa and mattress in need of replacing but otherwise an amazing property. View is breathtaking, place was very clean. Ace dog/family beach at Wollacombe, 15 minute drive away. Lovely shale bays and coastal promenade right outside apartment. Car park is 5 minutes walk but that is much further than it sounds and not flat. Unloading, shopping, 'poppinRead moreg out' and coming back again etc. all quite a mission. So if you need easy car access, don't under estimate this aspect. Otherwise, lovely place. Hide
