Ive never really needed to give some constructive feedback before on a holiday; but this stay at Bryns House just felt like Id been financially disadvantaged! and most importantly I dont want others to see the 5* reviews & thing youre going to get a WOW property Pros Lovely view Great sunsets Peaceful Nice location for walking into WestwoRead moreod Ho! & exploring the stunning North Devon coastline. Cons 2330 for ONE week in early July; expectations were 10/10. in reality it was possibly a 6/10??? Left disappointed with what wed spent versus what we got Photos on website not current - paintwork shabby & flaky; its in need of redecorating throughout. Cobwebs & dirty corners! Mildew (mould) all over the master bedroom curtain. The master bedroom obviously has some damp issues, couldnt put my finger on it but clothes in the cupboard felt damp when putting them on; very strange as we stayed during some very warm dry weather?? Not toddler / baby friendly at all - stair gate (at the top only) fitted badly above the skirting board; making it completely dangerous! No stair gate at the bottom of the stairs. TV in top lounge area very much at toddler cruising height & in my opinion a tip hazard. TV in downstairs lounge also at same height. Lots of pretty things at grab height which meant we had a lot of clearing away to do before settling in. Stair carpet is well worn sisal - very slippery for little (& big) feet - only one adult height stair-rail. Please also remember to take your own plastic bowls & plates for your children. Outside decking / balcony filthy - needs a good power wash Multiple pet rules meant this was a dog reluctantly acceptable property, rather than dogs welcome! No dogs in any of the bedrooms is probably taking things a bit too far in my opinion (I do accept beds & furniture, but seriously not even allowed in the room!) Strong sense of an internal leak in kitchen sink area. definitely can hear a BIG drip going on Not TWO parking spaces, we had two SUVs in our party & due to the overgrown hedges we had to park one of the with the boot fully overhanging the path & the other straddling the pedestrian pathway to the house; not ideal with babies, toddlers & car seats. Dining table & chairs was actually a garden set; practical in one sense, but not screaming high end luxury & not very comfy to sit on In summary, if you are looking for a place to stay with your multi generational family; Bryns house is not safe or suitable for babies & toddlers.& potentially not your dog! We would 100% recommend Bryns house ! We had a magnificent stay (our first time in Westward Ho!) - Bryns house has plenty of space , is super clean and modern , and very dog friendly. There are so many little details that we enjoyed ! Bryns house had easy check in instructions , and everything you could possible want in a home from home ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! They have even supplied a few books and local info to read, there is a spare room with TV and DVDs if children dont want to watch the same as you and there are a few board games if you really need them - the garden is lush grass , well Maintained and dog friendly (also clean - no evidence of dogs) Hide

A lovely place to stay in a great location with only a short walk to the beach and Westward Ho! The property overlooks the Burrows and is a great place for walking the dogs. Property was immaculate and Claire contacted us prior to and during the holiday to ensure everything was OK.
