This charming property sits on the Northwest side of the island, a stone’s throw from the sea, popular beach at Gurnard and the town of Cowes. Cowes is known for its strong sailing heritage and has a great selection of amenities including a choice of shops, cafes and pubs. There is easy access to the western side of the island from here with its tranquil sandy coves, or perhaps visit the nearby Newtown National Nature Reserve – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a wonderful spot for enjoying breath taking views. The area is a haven for keen walkers and cyclists, with footpaths leading through stunning countryside as well as around the island.

From the parking area a short flight of steps take you to the entrance into this detached single storey property where you can catch a glimpse of the sea. Step into the inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which is a bright and airy space cleverly divided into sociable areas. The lounge area is the ideal spot to relax with a good book or perhaps watch a film on the TV/DVD. The kitchen area is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine. There is a comfortable dining space opposite, perfect for relaxed meals for four. Heading across the lounge you will find the stylish double bedroom to the front of the property, which has an en-suite shower and WC. Just next door is a contemporary bathroom with shower over bath and WC and a charming twin bedroom with views over the garden.

Heading outside you will find steps leading down to a fully enclosed lawn with garden furniture. Off-road parking space for one car is available to the front of the property, with further on road parking subject to availability.

We were very pleased with the property. The towels were nice and thick and the reclining armchairs were lovely. It was nice having an ensuite shower room attached to master bedroom.

A really lovely little house. Very generous welcome - wine, chocolate biscuits, cakes, milk, brioche all there waiting. V clean, very comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Parking for one large car in front, lots of on-street parking available. Beach vv near, pub is a 10 min walk.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for 4 days, children felt it like home and wouldn't want to leave on the last day. Appreciate the kind gesture to leave some snacks, drinks for adults and children at the property when we arrived. My only recommendation is it would be nice to have a dishwasher too but ofcourse it didn't stop us from having a niRead morece time though Hide

Great modern comfortable house with a very well stocked kitchen in terms pots, pans, utensils, crockery, cutlery etc. We felt very welcomed with the wine, milk and sweet treats. We hope to return again soon! We can recommend the Woodvale for food when you don't want to cook - their breakfast was delicious.

The location in Gurnard is nice, but the master bedroom faces the road and was very noisy, even at night with cars using the road as a race track. Cleaning was poor the kitchen, equipment, and outdoor furniture were dirty, and we even found old socks by the bed. The DVD player didnt work, the bed was uncomfortable, and the linen was tired. OverallRead more, it felt more like staying in someones house than a quality holiday cottage.

Great place, comfortable, light and airy. Good location for easy access to the rest of the island. Can accommodate 4 but good for 2. No dishwasher but is well equipped with everything else.
