Instow is a fabulous waterside village with a plethora of great restaurants, traditional pubs and fabulous deli offering local produce. Instow is home to the North Devon Yacht Club and the quayside is the base for boat trips and fishing, during the summer months take the passenger ferry to the fishing village of Appledore with its colourful cottages and narrow streets. The Tarka Trail runs through the village and offers miles of traffic free cycleways and footpaths. Nearby Westward Ho!, famed for its 2 miles of golden sandy beach and great surfing where you can enjoy body boarding or if you fancy surfing you can book lessons and boards locally. There are many other popular attractions close by including, Tapeley Park, The Big Sheep, RHS Rosemoor and the quintessential famous cobbled fishing village of Clovelly.

Enter this surprisingly spacious property and you are greeted by a comfortable lounge/diner offering comfortable seating, Smart TV and Bluetooth sound bar. There is plenty of seating in the dining room a perfect space for memorable get togethers. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine. This remarkable kitchen area also offers an enclosed area which leads out to the enclosed courtyard. This area is truly perfect for those wet dogs coming off the beach. Also, on this floor is a separate WC. Take the stairs to the first floor where you will find all three bedrooms, one super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request) with Smart TV and en-suite toilet, one double and one twin room, completing the first floor is the shower room with WC.

Head outside into the courtyard which consist of a hot and cold shower, perfect for those sandy toes and sandy dogs. From here take the fully lit shared path where you will find the enclosed private garden with garden furniture, small lawn area and charcoal BBQ up 5 steps total. There is also gated access to the garden from the side of the house.

There is roadside parking (subject to availability). There is also a public car park and a private car park close by (charges apply). In addition to this, the owner will provide details of a private parking arrangement (a charge will apply) 5 minutes walk from the property.

Beautiful cottage in a great location which is really well maintained and equipped. There is only one drawback and thats parking and we traveled in March before the restrictions started. The parking wardens were very active so even loading and unloading was a challenge.

Our third visit to Torridge House and we'll certainly be back. The cottage was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and located just steps from three pubs/restaurants and a long, sandy beach, perfect for dog walking.

This cottage was absolutely perfect. 30 seconds to the beach and the pubs of Instow. All the equipment etc in the cottage was excellent, outdoor shower was nice and hot and really useful to have the front and back entrance + utility room for a sandy dog. Couldn't fault anything about our stay.

We love Instow stayed many times. The cottage was fantastic as we had family with us. The location is perfect ,really enjoyed having the outside spaces as this is rare in Instow. Bedrooms were great, beds very comfy. The dogs really enjoyed the beach . Plenty of lovely pubs on the doorstep serving a good choice of food. Although your near lots of pRead morelaces to visit if you want a relaxing break you can't beat Instow. Hide

Torridge House was simply perfect in every way. One of the best properties we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in quite a few. It was very well appointed, spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable, hot shower with very fluffy towels. The owners had certainly made every effort to make the property welcoming and homely to even leaving trRead moreeats for Bonnie our border terrier. Fabulous house in a fantastic location, the house is really well equipt with all the kitchen essentials you will need. Beds are comfortable with lovely linen. Really good powerful shower.

Our third stay at this cottage and wouldnt stay anywhere else in Instow! Beautiful cottage fully stocked with everything needed - its like a home from home. Friendly owners and a lovely location. Couldnt recommend highly enough!

The location is the thing for this property being right on the beach !! Outside hot water shower is fantastic for dogs and owners after a day on the sands and in the water. Only gripe we have is the lack of car parking adjacent the property. Highly recommended for beach break, three good pubs within 50 yards, what more do you need

Excellent location as only 100 metres to Instow beach. Loading and unloading can be tricky (we had 3 bikes also) as residents parking only. Once unloaded we parked at Commodore hotel 300 metres down the sea front road which the owner gave us detail for. This was additional 45 per week but still cheaper than the local carparks and worked well and keRead morept the car safe. Highly recommend this cottage and Instow for a location, especially if you have dogs Hide

What a fabulous place, Torridge House is situated in the heart of Instow. Its in a perfect location only a minutes or two walk to the beach, pubs and restaurants. The house is really well equip, comfortable, clean and perfect if you have a dog with its outside shower!

A well kept, well equipped and lovely cottage. A stones throw from the beach. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend to anyone considering a stay there. Caring and attentive hosts too
