Each of these offer very different seaside experiences, with Swanage boasting a wide sandy beach next to which visitors will find a swathe of cafes, kiosks, beach shops, and deckchair hire. Dancing Ledge, meanwhile, is part of the breathtaking rugged coastline of the Jurassic Coast, famed for its fossil-rich beaches, this whole area is renowned for its breath-taking walks with magnificent seascapes. A hallway leads to the bunk bedroom, a restful room with a beamed ceiling and cottage-style window, across the hall from which the chic and stylish bathroom is fully-tiled and offers a shower-over-bath and WC. The staircase which leads to the first floor is an interesting and unusual feature which has been salvaged from a ship and has a rope handrail. We enjoyed our stay in the cottage and have no complaints. The milk in the fridge and biscuits on arrival were a nice touch.

We had a really nice stay. I am 6'4" and my Dad 6',2. There was a lot of ducking to get through the doors. Anyone under 5'8" shouldn't have any problems :) But it didn't bother me! The gate out to the road is 'right' on the road. I wouldn't want to have smaller kids here. My son is 8, and there were a few moments that were scary (cars flying by at Read more40-50 mph). Hide

Wouldn't recommend this. On noisy busy road. All too tight, particularly stairs which are unsuitable for elderly people. Beds too narrow for adults.

The cottage was disappointing. The photos suggest that the front of the house has an open aspect. However in reality there is a large bush approx 12 feet high across a path which blocks the light, making the front room gloomy. This bush is tiny on the photos. The photos are out of date. Also we had an issue with the hot water. We could not shower fRead moreor over 48 hours because of a combination of a power cut and the button diverting hot water to the shower being stuck. Hide

This is a nice little cottage which is pretty well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen is a nice space which we were able to use with the patio doors open most of the time opening out onto the garden with a pretty decent view looking west towards Swyre Head.

Cottage in lovely situation and handy for buses. It was badly let down by unmaintained garden furniture which collapsed with us on it (even though a review had mentioned it 2 years previously). Holidaycottages.co.uk were unhelpful regarding this. Kitchen chairs are small and not suitable for adults. These problems spoilt what could have been a niceRead more holiday. Hide

This cottage is in a perfect part of Dorset to allow you to explore the area either by leaving the car at the cottage and rambling around the immediate area or exploring a bit further out by car. We found the cottage to be very clean, and totally adequate for my wife and my needs. During our stay it rained a fair bit so we cannot comment on the outRead moreside space other than to say that when it stopped raining there was some lovely views and there appeared sufficient equipment for BBQs.
