Inside, the ground floor is cosy but open-plan, featuring wooden flooring, spotlights and French doors out to the decking. The contemporary kitchen area contains an electric oven with gas hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine and Nespresso Pod coffee machine, making it easy to prepare everything from quick snacks to family meals. Once you have finished preparing your meals, dine at the table and chairs in a cosy corner of this room, before relaxing on the comfortable L-shaped sofa that overlooks the decked area through the French windows. After a long day exploring the local area, unwind with a good book or in front of the Smart TV. There is a separate WC on the ground floor for ease. Upstairs you will find one king-size bedroom and one twin with Smart TV, comfortable retreats after a long day of adventures. The bedrooms enjoy plenty of natural light and have been tastefully decorated in a nautical theme. A contemporary fully-tiled bathroom with shower over bath and WC is also located on the first floor.

Step through the French doors onto the enclosed decked patio, a peaceful little suntrap that feels tucked away, yet is just moments from Woolacombe’s beach, shops and cafés. With garden furniture and pretty potted plants softening the space, it’s the perfect spot to unwind after a day on the sand or enjoy a relaxed al fresco supper as the evening draws in. We booked a weeks stay at Millrock cottage for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. The location is PERFECT, right by the beach and close to some great shops and cafes. With the two kids having a property so close to the amenities and the beach was really helpful and made a huge difference as we usually stay much further up the hill to the beach so this was grRead moreeat for us a family. Theres aloynof beach equipment that comes with the property and we made use of these, again really useful with young children. Unfortunately for us there was a few negative aspects of our stay which ultimately resulted in us vacating the property two days early. This was a real shame as this was our first holiday as a family but due to the following reasons we made that decision. * The mattress in the main bedroom was rock solid and my wife and I were unable to get a good nights sleep. Whilst this might suit some people it was just too uncomfortable for us and was the main reason for leaving early. * Cleaning and cleanliness- When we arrived there was dog hair on the bath mat upstairs. Towels also had a damp smell to them. Couldve had a few more fresh towels to ensure we had enough for a weeks stay. Whilst we can accept that pet hair may be visible in certain areas we wouldnt expect it on bathroom facilities. We have dogs ourselves (didnt bring them) but wouldve just liked some extra care and attention when cleaning. We also felt like there was a lack of cleaning products in the property, we had to buy stuff like antibacterial spray and bin bags. The above issues/concerns are just what we experienced and the impact the bed and cleanliness made on us meant we decided to go home. We appreciate when staying in places like this sometimes things can go wrong or not always go to plan and Im sure in the future with feedback like this issues can be corrected. If youre looking for a no frills place with a lovely outdoor deck, close to the beach and amenities this is a perfect spot. Unfortunately for us the bad outweighed the good this time around. But Im sure as some of the other reviews show, it will suit many people just wasnt the right stay for us and our family. Hide

A lovely clean cottage, literally a stones throw from the beach, shops and a very nice pub. Could not have asked for more

The cottage was gorgeous and furnishings of a high quality. Nothing else was needed all included down to a complimentary packet of biscuits with tea and coffee. Location was excellent once out the door you could see the ocean and behind the property lovely hillside views. Right in town centre but cottage away from the crowds making it private.

Just a few things need to be addressed. The kettle and coffee machine had water in them. Some of the pictures were very crooked, the big one downstairs was the worst. The bottom draw in the 2nd bedroom had Childs worn clothes in.

A small family, we had a relaxing holiday at Millrock. Finding a parking space was hit and miss, mainly okay, improved by a parking permit pre-arranged during the booking process. The modern, bright property looks as advertised online. It was in a fantastic location, just 5-10 minutes walk to the stunning Woolacombe beach.
