Perfectly positioned just a short stroll (approx. 0.3 miles) from the picturesque harbour, guests can explore independent cafés, restaurants and galleries within five minutes on foot. The famous Tunnels Beaches are approximately 0.4 miles away, where hand-carved Victorian tunnels lead to sheltered tidal pools and a unique bathing beach. The dramatic South West Coast Path can be joined within 0.5 miles, offering breathtaking cliff-top walks, while the golden sands of Woolacombe are around 6 miles away for a classic beach day. Surrounded by the spectacular landscapes of the North Devon coast, part of a nationally protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, this is a superb base for a stylish seaside escape.

Located on the first floor of a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian terrace, the apartment is spacious, light-filled and thoughtfully arranged to sleep five guests across three bedrooms. Two contemporary bathrooms complete the layout, one with a rain shower, and one with a bath, both with heated towel rails. Central heating throughout ensures year-round comfort.

The apartment benefits from a balcony running across the front of the property, furnished with table and chairs. The perfect place to sit with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine while soaking up the harbour views. We spent a great week at this apartment, and the photos on the website were very accurate. The location is excellent, with easy access to the public gardens and beautiful Rapparee Cove, where we spent much of our time sunbathing and swimming. The apartment itself is the standout feature: the view from the windows in the master bedroom and lounge iRead mores exceptional, and the kitchen is incredibly well equipped. It is also clear that the owner has put real thought into guest comfort, with throws and blankets in the lounge, crisp clean bed linen, fluffy white towels, toiletries, and a welcome selection of tea and biscuits. That said, guests should be aware that two of the bedrooms do not have the sea views and instead look directly into the opposite (other residents') windows in the inner courtyard, so it is possible to see and hear them. Unfortunately, the noise at night did disrupt our sleep. The building itself is also in very poor condition, with sloping floors, cracks in the walls, fragile windows, walls with holes and scratches, old carpets, and an unpleasant damp, dirty smell in the communal areas. While the complimentary parking space is a bonus, it is tightly bordered by other cars, and situated right on the edge of a slope, so it may not be suitable for nervous or unskilled drivers. Overall, this is indeed a lovely apartment in an excellent location, but the condition of the building, the 2 bedrooms outlook, noise levels, and parking setup should be taken into account before booking so this does not come as a surprise. On balance, I consider this a good value for what you get, in particular because of the host's hospitality and the sea views. Hide
