Venture 8 miles into Sheringham to go to the beach, potter in the gift shops, or hop aboard a steam train to the Georgian market town of Holt. The National Trust’s Sheringham Park, 7.5 miles away, is a colourful place to stroll, especially in late spring or early summer. The impressive Jacobean mansion of Blickling Hall, 10 miles away, is also well worth a visit.
