This cottage is located on the main road between Torrington and Barnstaple. Therefore, you are perfectly placed for enjoying all that North Devon has to offer, and just a short drive to the local beach of Instow with its restaurants, perfect for watching the evening sunset. Also within easy reach are Croyde, Saunton Sands and Woolacombe, all famous for their surfing beaches. The market town of Barnstaple is just 4 miles away, and there you can explore the pannier market, browse the plethora of high-street and independent shops, watch a show at the theatre or take a dip in the swimming pool if it's not beach weather. If you’re the outdoors type, there is a wide range of activities, such as surfing, canoeing and horse-riding right on the doorstep, plus both Exmoor and Dartmoor are close, and perfect for hiking. If you fancy trying a spot of golf, Great Torrington Golf Course is easily reached by car, and other attractions nearby include Dartington Crystal, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep.

Enter this lovely cottage through its oak porch to the entrance hallway. From here, head to the right and you will find a spacious kitchen/dining area with French doors leading to the enclosed garden. The kitchen is well-equipped with a range oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and also a washer/dryer. To the left of the hallway, you will find a light and airy lounge with a Smart TV and comfortable seating to sit back and relax in front of the wood burner. There is also a further set of French doors which lead to the enclosed garden and these enable you to enjoy the fresh air from the comfort of the lounge. Completing the offering on the ground floor and located to the rear of the hallway is a WC. Heading up the stairs and onto the characterful first floor, you will find both of the beautiful bedrooms. The first is a gorgeous king-size room with a TV and an en suite shower room with WC, and the second a cosy twin room (with zip-and-link beds that can be presented as a super-king-size upon request) with views over the village towards the church, a TV and en suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

From either set of French doors you can access the delightful enclosed garden, and here you will find a small area of lawn and patio with a hot tub. Here you can relax in style and unwind in the evenings after a busy day exploring without venturing far from the front door. There is also private off-road parking for two cars.

Little Oak Cottage was beautifully laid out and with everything we needed. We arrived to treats for ourselves and our furry friend which was so sweet. Loved the hot tub! We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the local pub which was a stones throw away from the property. Beaches around a 15min drive away.

Beautiful little house, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, easy to relax in. Good central location to explore the North Devon coast, fab pub within easy distance Our only gripe was the sofas, when sat on, you could feel a bar & the springs. Would not stop us returning!
