This property enjoys a quiet farmland location, surrounded by green fields and benefits from lovely countryside walks close by, as well as rambles across nearby Dartmoor and Exmoor. The pretty villages of Winkleigh and Hatherleigh are just a short drive and offer shops and pubs. Cyclists are well catered for in the area with the famous Tarka Trail within easy reach, which can also be enjoyed by walkers and cyclist alike. North Devon offers sandy beaches and sheltered coves to explore. The village of Iddesleigh is where Micheal Morpugo wrote War Horse, the area is also known as War Horse country. You will also be within easy reach of a riding stable, coarse fishing at Stafford Moor, RHS Rosemoor Gardens, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way.

This detached property is approached via its own private drive and stands proudly at the end. Enter through the double French doors and be impressed by the vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, feature stone pillars and a galleried walkway that connects the two bedrooms. The bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has cleverly been divided into separate spaces. A few steps up take you into the lounge area where you can relax on the sofas and enjoy looking out to the garden beyond or, curl up in front of the wood burner effect electric fire and enjoy watching a favourite on the Smart TV/DVD. The kitchen/diner has an electric oven and hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge with ice compartment and dishwasher, it is a perfect place to cook a lazy breakfast or a special meal. Heading upstairs you will find two bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms with shower and WC. The first is a king-size bedroom and the second bedroom is a twin zip-and-link (which can be made up as a super-king-size on request).

Venturing outside you will find an enclosed gravelled patio area with seating, leading to a separate grassed area with far reaching countryside views, a perfect area for children to play. Enjoy your morning coffee or a spot of al fresco dining with the BBQ. There is an additional utility room with washing facilities for muddy paws or boots, additional freezer space, a washing machine and honesty shop for any forgotten essentials and local produce.

This barn is perfect for families or 2 couples. Very well equipped, clean and homely. Fantastic for a total chill out. Owners very friendly and accomodating. We will be back.

The Barn was delightful. Everything you could possible need. Hair dryer, plenty of dog towels and dog bowls and toys. Books and games for children and adults. Kitchen fully equipped and spotless. Beds very comfortable. Beautiful spot to explore Devon.

This was one of the very best cottages I have stayed in over the last five years. Lots of thought had obviously gone into what people need when self catering. It was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable with very welcoming hosts. Lots of little extras eg the hooks in bathrooms and bedrooms, books, puzzles, games etc. lovely outside area for wRead morehen the weather is nice to have a Bar B Q , loungers and table and chairs. Absolutely perfect in everyway. Clean, spacious but cosy, everything you could need and more. Owners very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Set in lovely grounds. Great for young families and older couples. Highly recommend.

An absolute gem of a cottage, with two ensuite bedrooms , a downstairs cloakroom and fully equipped kitchen. Surrounded by country side and blissfully quiet. Plenty of places to visit, justcsome very windy roads. Local pubs are fantastic and dog friendly. Hosts were friendly but not in your face.

Although the location of Holders barn is remote we chose it to visit friends in Chilla and visit Chulmleigh the birthday place of my mother. It was a very pleasant surprise to find such a comfortable and well equipped holiday home. There are an abundance of pubs to visiting the area

I would highly recommend staying here. Beautiful, peaceful location. The inside is just amazing. We had everything we needed and more to make it an enjoyable relaxing stay. The honesty shop was perfect for any little thing you forgot and you can buy fresh produce from the farm on request. We will definitely be back.

We booked Holders Barn for the seond year running because we enjoyed our stay so much last year. I can't fault anything! The barn is light and airy, well equipped and extremely clean and comfortable. Westlake Farm let us have a wonderful family break away. A great location with plenty of space for the children to play (Skye the dog may have joined in the fun too). We were able to get to the beach, as well as explore Dartmoor and Exmoor. We will be back!
