To one side of the beach, Northam Burrows Country Park is a haven for marine wildlife and offers a shady break from the beach amongst the sand dunes. For those who want to explore a bit further afield, there is plenty to see and do within a ten minute drive of the property, including The Big Sheep, the historic harbour town of Bideford and the pretty fishing village of Appledore.
