This property is ideal for guests who are hoping to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, and relax in tranquil countryside surroundings. Although situated in a sleepy hamlet, the property is within a short drive of the town of Barnstaple, where there is a good range of shops and restaurants, a theatre, leisure centre, and a swimming pool. Nowhere is particularly far from the beach in Devon, and this property is no different, and there is a choice of lovely beaches within easy reach, including the pretty beach in the village of Instow and the impressively large sandy beach in Westward Ho!

This is one of two barn conversion properties which sit across from one another on a quiet courtyard. The ground floor of the property is an open-plan space. The spacious lounge area is a welcoming and relaxing space with a contemporary feel, where guests will find a recliner sofa, a woodburner and Smart TV with Netflix.  The kitchen/diner area, set off to one side of the room has a spacious island with dining seating attached. The kitchen area has everything that guests will need, including an oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer,  dishwasher and washing machine. Taking the staircase to the galleried bedroom, guests will find a pleasant space with a king-size bed. Just off the bedroom is a shower room with WC and on the opposite side of the stairs, a dressing area.

Leading out from the kitchen through the patio doors you will find an enclosed garden with patio area and garden furniture, BBQ, and the wonderfully relaxing hot tub.

Be prepared to drive down single roads, what I'd describe as farm roads and yes they are muddy, but if you're comfortable doing that the barn is lovely. Everything has been considered to make your stay complete. It's clean, well equiped, comfotable and the hosts, Emma and Nikki, are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They provide pub/restaurant Read moresuggestions, the close by Hunters Inn served delicious food, as well as recommended sights, we would suggest Mortehoe for a costal walk with VIEWS. Hide

A spacious, comfortable, clean barn conversion. It is in a quiet location along narrow country lanes. There is an enclosed garden with a table and seating and lovely hot tub. .The shower room lets the property down but everything else about the property was very good

Lovely cake on arrival, large hot tub and although rural really short drive to many beaches. As its pretty rural take essential foods with you. We had a fab long weekend.

Norwood Barn is a dog friendly property which was perfect. However information about where the dogs can go in the property is a bit contradictory. The owners would rather that dogs don't go upstairs to the bedroom but then also say that they understand some dogs sleep near their owners so that's ok. The child gate on the stairs made going up and doRead morewn the stairs difficult for myself because I have mobility issues and our dog is a basset so only little legs. Hide

We had a fantastic time at the cottage. The cottage was absolutley adorable, comfortable and had everything we needed. Emma, went over and beyond to make us comfortable with great communication, attention and care. The cottage was so clean and organised and with a welcome surprise with a delicious home baked cake. Could't recommend enough.

Norwood Barn is a fantastic place to get away, ideal location to visit North Devons beaches, forests and woods. The barn itself is beautifully decorated, welcoming and warm, the hot tub is a perfect addition to enjoy during your stay. Both myself, my husband and our crazy cocker spaniel felt very at home and hope to visit again soon!
