What a lovely space, and a lot of it. The cottage has everything you need plus a boot room for wet wellies and drying off dogs before coming in. The garden is great for dogs and humans alike, it is securely fenced especially at lower levels for those with smaller dogs. We had some good walks on Torrington Common (10 min drive), Halsdon Nature ReserRead moreve ( 6min drive). Westword Ho! sandy beach is about a 40 min drive but well worth it as are the sand dunes at Northam Burrows and Saunton Sands. Hide

We liked the cottage and it's lovely garden but couldn't recommend it when beds were so hard and in need of updating. Comfortable beds and fresh linens so important.

Cottage was very clean, large and spacious with two living rooms. It was immense with two sets of stairs at opposite ends. Only minor negatives are close proximity to a busy road for turning out in the morning (cars whizz by a bit quickly) and at night time if you are a light sleeper you'll likely need ear plugs. It has one of the biggest well keptRead more gardens I have ever stayed at. Globe inn pub nearby was fab great beer and friendly. Kitchen great. Rooms spacious. Torrington for takeaways / lidl. Hide

We had a very comfortable stay - coming away at this time of year is a gamble with regards to weather but that doesn't matter when you can sit, chat and drink tea by a cosy fire.

An ideal cottage for our family group of eight, comprising of three generations. A very good location for exploring North Devon and North Cornwall. The garden is amazing: very large with open views of the surrounding countryside; a variety of trees including apple trees; plenty of space to play outdoor games. The only negative which is highlighted Read morein the cottage information is that the entrance to the cottage is just beyond the summit of a hill, so special care is required when exiting. Hide
