A stay at this holiday cottage just outside Totland places friends and family in a truly spectacular corner of the Isle of Wight, with views towards the iconic The Needles chalk stacks rising from the sea. Totland sits within the Isle of Wight National Landscape, offering unspoilt coastal scenery alongside handy village shops and local pubs. The award-winning beaches at Totland Bay and Colwell Bay are perfect for traditional seaside days. A footpath leads 1 mile to Freshwater, where you’ll find a golf course and public swimming pool, ideal for keeping everyone entertained. Access the shoreline on foot or via a nearby chair lift for unforgettable vistas across the sand cliffs to The Needles. History lovers can explore the narrow streets, ancient castle and bustling harbour of Yarmouth (3 miles), or follow the scenic Needles to Yarmouth Castle walk right from the doorstep.

Accessed via a few steps, this single-storey seaside retreat combines period charm with laid-back comfort. From the moment you arrive, high ceilings and an original fireplace hint at the building’s heritage, creating an inviting first impression. The fitted kitchen is thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for hearty breakfasts or leisurely suppers, flowing through to a generous lounge, where deep, comfortable seating gathers around a glowing wood burner. FreeSat TV and a Blu-ray player are on hand for cosy evenings in. In the bay window, a dining table is positioned to make the most of the sweeping outlook, with far-reaching views stretching towards The Needles. There are two en-suite bedrooms: one with a king-size bed and one with twin beds.

Outside, a patio garden to the front provides a lovely spot for morning coffee, with a small enclosed rear patio. Guests also have access to enclosed shared grounds (down some steps). Garden furniture and a picnic bench invite you to sit back with a chilled drink and take in the sea air. Ample off-road parking is available in a private car park approximately 100 metres away.

Having enjoyed many trips to the Isle of Wight, our recent visit to the Needles Cottage was without doubt our best experience and most enjoyable break to date. From the moment we parked up in the spacious parking area we were blown away by the view of the Needles, and this only got better as we approached the cottage. The cottage itself is absoluteRead morely stunning, with spacious rooms and a beautiful interior, it provided the best of facilities that leaves the guest wanting for nothing. Impeccably clean and tidy, the cottage also boasts a view that makes it difficult to find the interest to explore the rest of the island! With multiple walks on the doorstep and the famous Needles attraction, I cannot think of another location that can top this breathtaking property. The thought, communication and professionalism from the home owner was superb, and we were provided with everything to ensure the best possible experience. We cannot recommend this cottage enough. It is quite simply the perfect choice for a break on the Isle of Wight. Highly recommended! Hide
