A spacious, split-level holiday hideaway, this delightful holiday cottage makes an idyllic Hertfordshire getaway. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom cottage is set in countryside surroundings, near Old Hall Green, 2.5 miles from Puckeridge and 6.5 miles from historic Ware. Venture into the riverside town to take the children to the lido or Priory Park play area. Stroll beside the River Lea to see the famous Victorian gazebos, and spot wildlife at the Amwell Nature Reserve or Post Wood, both 8.5 miles away. Follow the 5-mile Chadwell Sculpture Trail through Ware, Great Amwell, Hertford and King’s Meads. Visit the fairy-tale Scott’s Grotto, with its shell-clad passages that extend some 20 metres into the hillside. Make a trip to Hatfield House, 18 miles away, to explore the Jacobean mansion and wander the elegant gardens and leafy woodland. You can also enjoy the parkland, which is home to a herd of some 160 deer.
