Escape to the picturesque village of Bradwell and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Bradwell Dale (1.25 miles), where scenic walks through limestone landscapes and tranquil streams await. Venture to the expansive Bradwell Moor (1.25 miles) and Plateau for breathtaking panoramic views of the Peak District countryside, perfect for birdwatching. Situated in the heart of Hope Valley, Castleton is just under 3 miles away, with stunning caverns to explore and beautiful scenery. There are also quaint shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. There are even some cinema and concert events held within the caves throughout the year including the famous Christmas carol concerts. Eyam is 6 miles away but despite its morbid but fascinating plague history, it is a very pretty Derbyshire Village to explore. The spa town of Buxton, the market town of Bakewell, and the stunning Chatsworth House and Gardens are all within 10 miles.

The property is accessed via patio doors from the parking area at the rear, into a cosy sitting room with wood burner offering the perfect place to snuggle up at night time and relax on the reclining sofa and armchair after a day of exploring. There is a separate porch, perfect for all your coats and shoes, and doggy things. This then leads into a well-equipped kitchen/dining area with a breakfast bar and underfloor heating. This large space is perfect for coming together to enjoy meals around the oak dining table. Upstairs are two well-appointed bedrooms, offering a super-king-size zip-and-link which can be made into a twin on request, and a king size. A family bathroom with underfloor heating completes the inside.

Outside you are spoilt for choice. There is a small patio area by the stream to the rear (enclosed by a gate but the fencing by the stream may not be child or dog-proof). To the front is a patio area with garden furniture, raised grassed area with flower borders and a hot tub to soak in after a busy day.

  • 2 bedrooms - 1 super-king-size (zip-and-link beds which can be made up as twin beds on request), 1 king-size
  • 1 bathroom with rainfall shower, separate bath, and WC
  • Electric range style cooker with induction hob, combi microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine
  • Smart TV
  • Wood burner (first supply of logs provided)

This cottage was very cozy and was a lovely space for us to realx in on our hoilday. The garden however was not a private garden in any aspect and we found ourselves in the hot tub next to someone's washing! We do feel it should be stated in the discription the garden has no fencing. if you're happy with a shared garden then this cottage is perfectRead more for you however we found the hot tub experience slightly uncomfortable. The house is in perfect location with lots to do within short drives. Hide

Really convenient location with a massive amount of walks all within a 10-30 minute drive. Cute villages nearby and a ridiculous number of pubs to choose from. The cottage was beautifully decorated in a clean and contemporary style. Huge comfortable beds and bedding, log fire place well looked after as fires were always easy to light. A lovely cottage in a great spot to explore the Peak District. The road is busy at peak times but it didnt bother us. Bradwell is a fairly short walk away with amenities, the safe path starts about 50 yards from the front garden. We really enjoyed our stay.

Well situated cottage for walks to Hope , Castleton and Hathersage, conveniently placed near the pub or a very short walk to the brewery across the road. We enjoyed the hot tub and the garden just a bit noisy with the road. Cottage has everything you would need for an enjoyable stay , would recommend.

Great location for exploring the area albeit it is beside the road so just be advised of this. Lovely property, well maintained and spotless. Loved the hot tub after long walks and there are a numbers of bars serving food within 20 mins walk or 2/3 minutes in the car. Bedrooms and kitchen/dining room are spacious and the kitchen had plenty of crockRead moreery and utensils if cooking at home. Would happily stay again if back in the area. Hide
