A spacious cottage in the lovely village of Brassington. The local pub (Old Gate) is brilliant and it's only a short walk across the field to get there. The cottage is comfortable but a bit basic; it would benefit from things like hooks for coats, shoe rack etc. The small garden is convenient when travelling with dogs as we did. The walking from thRead moree door step is very good. Places of interest within a 30 min radius are plenty. Hide

We had a lovely time, and the cottage was perfectly set out for our needs. The downstairs bedroom was plenty big enough for a cot (which they kindly provided on request) and was far enough away from the others to enable good sleep all round. The beds were all super comfortable and the welcome basket was a really generous and kind touch that made usRead more all smile. It was warm and cosy, and the log fire was a real bonus. The location ensured we were well placed to see key places in the peaks, and we would definitely recommend the cottage and come back. Hide
