One of two stunning lodges, set in a pretty orchard in the village of Talgarth, in the Brecon Beacons National Park with delightful views. The property is a short walk to the village pub, shops and even a restored watermill. Just a short drive away is a variety of local beauty spots such as Mid-Wales' highest mountain Pen-Y-Fan, Pwll-y-Wrach Nature Reserve and Llangorse Lake, offering beautiful walks for all ages. The property is also just a short drive to the ever-popular town of books, Hay-on-Wye. There is lots to see and do during your days of exploration, such as climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing and horse riding, before some star gazing in the evening. And, for the more laid-back guests there are lovely market towns including Brecon and Crickhowell within easy reach.

Following a stepped pathway down through the orchard to the lodge there is an entrance hall. Passing the utility area with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer there is a good-sized super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request) with lovely views over the gardens. Down a couple of steps from the hallway, you will find the warm and inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area has a comfortable sofa and chairs, Smart TV and floor to ceiling windows, to take in the beautiful surroundings. The dining table is well positioned between the kitchen and lounge areas. The contemporary kitchen has an electric oven and an induction hob, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. From the kitchen, there is an internal hallway to the stylish shower room with large walk-in waterfall shower and WC. Further along the hallway is the king-size bedroom. This is a quality residence for the more discerning guest, with underfloor heating throughout, making this perfect for couples and families plus up to two dogs, any time of the year.

Outside there is a private decked area overlooking the orchard, stream and woodland beyond. There is garden furniture and a BBQ for some al fresco dining during the spring and summer months. A pathway leads to your own wood fired hot tub. A simply stunning retreat with off-road parking for two cars.

We loved our stay at the Apple Tree (Orchard). The space was so incredibly cozy and beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the wood fired soaking tub! We were able to cook with the well equipped kitchen as well as launder our very muddy clothes. This was a beautiful respite from the gloomy weather and has been thoughtfully designed. A well appointed, high quality lodge with very comfy beds and the treat of a wood fired hot tub which was a great experience albeit tricky to get hot the first night. Lovely quiet environment to spend a few days to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Brecon Beacons.

Great location but lack of maintenance and poor cleanliness really was disappointing. Does not look like the pics anymore they advertise

We absolutely loved our stay at Pear Tree Lodge. The setting is peaceful and tranquil, with flying red kites and plenty of playful squirrels. The lodge is gorgeous, with big glass windows to enjoy the view. The wood fired hot tub is a real bonus. Inside was clean and comfortable, with everything you could need for a relaxing break. Fantastic lodge in beautiful settings in a lovely friendly village. The pear tree Lodge and all the amenities you need and everything you need are minutes away from local shops to friendly pubs for food and scenic walks in the woodlands definitely recommended.

We stayed for a weekend towards end of January. 2 couples. Lodge was lovely and warm. Very clean and well equipped. Beds were super comfortable. The grounds are lovely and car parking is great. Loads of wood for the hot tub. We spent Saturday afternoon going for a lovely walk and then in the Bridge End Inn. Highly recommended. The host, Louise wasRead more excellent and really responsive. Our stay at Pear Tree Lodge was wonderful, the lodge had everything we needed for our family of fours and a dogs holiday. The garden is shared with Apple Tree Lodge and isnt secure so we kept the dog on a lead whilst outside or he would have been straight in the river at the bottom of the garden! A few steps down to the Lodge so not for the less abRead morele bodied. Talgarth is a lovely town and we had brunch in The Mill a few times and dinner at The Bridge Inn which both allowed dogs. Hide
