Just a ten minute walk takes you from this spacious detached Longhouse to the award-winning Putsborough Sands beach. The Anchorage sleeps 6 in three bedrooms, has a spacious living room and kitchen and is perfect for large families or groups of friends wanting to holiday together. The detached cottage also welcomes two dogs and has a mature and enclosed, lawned garden with patio area as well as parking for four cars on the driveway. Entrance to the property is through a porch which is great for storing coats, shoes, bags, boots, pushchairs and beach equipment.  From the porch you enter into the spacious, well equipped kitchen and its adjoining dining room which are perfect for getting everyone together, socialising and of course enjoying home cooked meals. The living room has plenty of comfortable seats to accommodate the whole party and thanks to a Sky entertainment package, everyone can enjoy evenings in. If some group members need a quiet place to read or play games away from the main living room. There are two staircases at either end of the house which lead up to the first floor and two of the bedrooms. The master has a king size bed, TV and en-suite shower room and the 2nd bedroom has twin beds and a TV. Further bedroom with single bed.  The fourth bedroom is downstairs and is a double with TV and family bathroom adjacent. There is a further WC off the utility area.

Outside, in addition to the large lawned garden, patio and parking area, there is a warm outside shower – perfect for jumping into after walking back from the beach; plenty of sun loungers and a “Weber” barbecue. Putsborough itself is a sleepy village with pretty thatched cottages and a stream and many consider its main charm is the lack of commercial development. ***Complimentary car parking permit for Putsborough Sands included.*** The beach café at Putsborough is open every day from April to the end of October and during the weekends over winter. A choice of shops, pubs and restaurants are also available at nearby Croyde and Woolacombe.

This is our fourth time staying at the Anchorage and we love it. It has everything we need as a family, the garden is lovely and we used it with the sun this year and the location is perfect.

Lovely large well equipped cottage, wonderful location. Good parking and secure garden for the dogs. Parking permit an added bonus for Putsborough beach. Owners very friendly & approachable. We had a fantastic stay. Thank you

This was our second visit to The Anchorage and it didnt disappoint. A wonderfully appointed and perfectly situated home from home. Super dog friendly and what a bonus to have Putsborough Beach Parking included. We hope to be back soon!
