The cottage was very comfortable with everything we could need. The view of the water from the balcony was outstanding and so restful. Appledore is gorgeous, with something for everyone. We came as a 3 generation family and all loved it and are planning on returning. Highly recommended!

Paddles is very comfortable and well equipped, it's in a good location with great views out over the rivers. Appledore is one of our favourite locations, great food, and great beaches nearby.

What a superb cottage was Paddles! It was very well equipped and the furnishings were all very comfortable. The beds were the best Ive ever had in a holiday let! The location allowed views across the estuary and out to sea. The ever changing tide was fascinating. The currents rendered it unsafe for paddle boarding and swimming though. There are pRead morelaces close by for this. There are 2 pubs a few doors away. We used both, albeit, they were of completely different genre. The lifeboat station was very close and there seemed to constant activity there. Appledore had some lovely crafty independent shops and was about 10-15 minutes flat walk. Johns was a fantastic grocery, deli, cafe and more. Champ was a characterful community run folk pub with Sylvesters chip shop next door. The best fish and chips Ive had in many years! The Appledore/Instow ferry was a lovely excursion, completely run by volunteers. The coast path is easily accessible with stunning views (if you like steep hills!). Overall a wonderful place to visit. The location of the car park, just a few meters away, made loading and unloading easy without blocking the road. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home! Hide

A wonderful stay here. A prime location midway along the iconic Irsha Street. Have staying in a number of houses along the street and we throughly enjoyed our time here. The house is in walking distance to the Royal George and Beaver. Love the little documentary made available by the owners detailing the history of the house. Ideal location for restaurants and access to the beach/sea - teenage granddaughter loved it as did the little dog -first visit to the sea for him. Second flight of stairs quite steep for aged grandparents but we made sure we brought everything up/down at once! Lovely view from living room/patio even when the weather wasn't brilliant.
