This beautifully converted stone barn offers the perfect base for couples or small families planning days of walking and outdoor adventure together. Set a mile away from the southern foot of the North York Moors National Park and just 7 miles from the Howardian Hills National Landscape, guests are totally spoiled with endless trails and North Yorkshire charm. Live life as a local and soak up the region's history with visits to the market towns of Kirkbymoorside, Pickering, Helmsley, and Malton (all within 11 miles). Local attractions include Pickering's North York Moors Railway (6 miles), Flamingo Land Resort (7 miles), and Eden Camp WWII Museum (11 miles). From countryside to seaside, North Yorkshire's stunning coastline awaits just 25 miles away – visit the resorts of Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, Scarborough, and Filey for days on the sand.

Before stepping into this charming former barn, take a moment to appreciate its stone exterior, terracotta roof, and the surrounding greenery that sets the scene for a peaceful stay. Head inside and find that the accommodation is spread across one floor and features charming original touches including vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. Be greeted by a well-appointed country kitchen with everything needed for cooking up holiday feasts – enjoy your meals at the wooden table here or dine alfresco out in the garden. After dinner, walk through to the warming lounge to sink into the soft seating, fire up the wood burner, and flick on the Smart TV. On clear days, the many windows in this room fill the space with light and frame peaceful garden views. When it's time to call it a night, retire to a choice of two restful bedrooms: both having master super-king-size beds, one of which can be split to a twin bed. Each room boasts an en-suite shower rooms to avoid morning queues.

Step out to the garden each day to soak up the fresh country air and unwind under the sun. This tranquil space is laid to lawn and boasts a furnished patio area perfect for quiet morning coffees and al fresco evening meals. After dinner, sink into the bubbles of the private hot tub as the stars emerge above. Guests will also benefit from ample private parking.

Absolutely lovely property, nice and secluded/private with stunning views. We loved the hot tub. Very handy position for the sights and attractions of North Yorkshire. Just a few minutes drive from the NYMR station at Pickering. We will definitely return. We both adored are holiday in lovely Yorkshire. This is such a beautiful and spotless property, with everything you need, and then some. Lovely treats for our dog Penny. Our treats were good too. It is a great spot to get to many places, the food in Kirkbymoorside - The George and Dragon, Blakley Ridge - The Lion and many more pubs and cafes, thatRead more allow dogs. We had a fabulous few days with our friends in this very comfortable, home from home cottage. There are so many thoughtful extras included, like blankets/throws, comfortable outdoor seating, towels and gowns if using the amazing hot-tub. The views and privacy are amazing. Had a wonderful week at this cottage. Spacious and characterful. Useful air fryer if youre cooking. Great bedding and towels. So good to have en-suite bathrooms. Great views from the deck which was a bit of a sun trap. We didnt use the hot tub. Plenty of things to do and see within 30 minutes drive and many a pub to sample too - Ryedale is such a lRead moreovely area. Beautiful cottage, with interior decor to a very high standard. Lovely lounge area with very comfy sofas and full windows overlooking the fields and view.. we even spotted a couple of deer! Garden enclosed is great and your not overlooked at all , the hot tub perfectly clean and perfect temperature - we loved it even in the cooler spring weather. TRead morehe kitchen has all you need, we cooked in most evenings & the welcome hamper was such a treat, with proper Yorkshire crisps, homemade raspberry jam, croissants, milk and butter. The large, secure, enclosed garden was perfect for him, and the doggie welcome pack was such a lovely, unexpected touch. The hot tub was a real highlight soaking in it while taking in the stunning views was pure bliss and the perfect way to relax as a family. All in all, this was a flawless stay: relaxing, comfortable, beautifully presented, and genuinely somewhere special. A definite 5star experience for us, and we will absolutely be booking again. Just got back from a lovely 3 night stay in Tintawn Cottage. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, it has a warm welcoming feeling the minute you step in, with wonderful views & in a great location for exploring.
