Very good for our needs as late middle-aged couple plus dog. May have limitations for other party combinations owing to linked bedrooms, only one bathroom/toilet and steep staircases.

This cottage has lovely views from upstairs but is in need of renovation and repair. Guests need to be aware that the only bathroom is downstairs off the kitchen so anyone staying in the loft must descend two flights of stairs. There is no dishwasher, all the upstairs rooms are accessed via the main bedroom, the curtains and blinds upstairs are inaRead moredequate/broken, the stairs are not suitable for anyone remotely unsteady (not just under 2s as suggested), there is no pavement outside so be aware with pets, young children that you are straight into the road. Would not recommend staying here until some upgrades and improvements have taken place. Hide

Good location, good for a small family and a pet dog, not recommended for young children due to steep steps.

Just spent a lovely week at Tinkers cottage. Very well equipped kitchen, good bathroom, comfortable furnishings. Be aware of steep stairs and access to further bedrooms. This a nice cottage, comfortable sofas, the main bed was also good, the main bedroom is superb. Totally dog safe in the back garden. Lovely views and peaceful. To access the top room and single room it is necessary to walk through the main bedroom, which is not made clear in the information. Tons of hot water to bath or shower. The top room is vRead moreery cold (we were there in January). We wouldn't recommend staying in winter, but other times, especially for families would be wonderful. You can hear the sea. Hide

We've stayed at Tinkers Cottage twice and hope to return. The cottage is quiet, cosy and well equipped. The beach and Greyfriars monastery are close by as are lots of footpaths. Homely, comfortable cottage in the heart of Dunwich just a very short walk to the pub and chippy/cafe. A good location for exploring the area by bicycle or on foot. Heaths, coast and nature reserves all nearby. We park the car and dont use it until its time to go home.
