Everything was as perfect as could be, the cottage was just a wonderful place to be when not out and about. A very well presented, welcoming homely cottage. There is absolutely nothing negative we have to say, we most certainly will be returning, it 8s our favourite place to be.

Lovely place to stay in this converted barn with beautiful views. Loved the fact that the living/ kitchen area was on the top floor as we could see the fantastic views and the lights over Matlock and Matlock Bath at night. Great walks from the cottage if you like walking but not suitable if anyone struggles walking as high on a hill. We took car doRead morewn to railway station and parked some days so we could use the buses which are frequent to lots of destinations from Matlock. Great place to stay. Hide

A lovely peaceful property and helpful hosts. Amazing views over Matlock and possible to walk to the Heights of Abraham from the footpath outside the house . The kitchen equipment was rather dated , but as we did little cooking, this wasnt a problem.

Delightful spot with amazing views just a joy to relax in for a week, and our friendly hosts Ed and Lulu couldnt have been more helpful (thanks for the car jump leads!) with great suggestions for walks, eateries etc. Excellent position close to Matlock and Bakewell with a bounty of lovely little villages nearby.

A lovely location with great views. A comfortable, clean property. A long rough track up to the property. Cows adorable but often on the track and patience was required as they refused to move on occasions and we did not want to hurt them. There may be a knack! It was not private - three neighbouring properties and our garden was joined to next dooRead morers. Cromford museum and cafe really good. My girlfriend and I stayed in the Old Masson Barn for three nights until yesterday. We enjoyed everything there. The cottage is equiped with everything you need to relax in the peak district. Lulu and Ed were the nicest host that I have ever met, so much better than Ruth in Airbnb. On the leaving day, we wanted to walk around the town without carryRead moreing our luggages. Lulu and Ed helped us and drove the lugages to the town. We definitely will recommend to our friends and will come back again soon. Hide
