The banks of the River Esk offer easy-to-follow walking routes filled with beautiful landscapes and abundant wildlife. Follow a historic Roman road to the Wheeldale Stones (4 miles) or head up to Danby Beacon (4.5 miles) for sweeping views across heather-clad moorland. For a day by the sea, visit the historic town of Whitby (9.5 miles), where gothic heritage comes alive at Whitby Abbey and along the famous 199 Steps. From here, discover stunning sandy beaches and access scenic stretches of the Cleveland Way trail.

What a wonderful home in a super location. The extras were very much appreciate - wine, sparkling water, chocolate and cookies. The wood fire was an added bonus and is very effective
