A welcoming, deceptively large cottage in the well appointed village of Longnor, this delightful retreat is ideal for exploring both the Staffordshire Moorlands and the Peak District. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom abode is just 6.5 miles from Buxton and surrounded by beautiful walks direct from the door. Discover tranquil riverside settings with gentle footpaths, or those seeking more challenging hikes can stride out to explore both the Dove and Manifold valleys and take time to climb the dome-shaped hill of High Wheeldon, 6 miles away and the dramatic Chrome Hill also know as the Dragons Back. Alternatively head into stylish Buxton to browse in the shops, visit the scenic Pavilion Gardens and wonder at Poole’s Cavern. Bakewell, 9.5 miles away, also makes a great day out, especially for those eager to try the famous pudding. Plan an afternoon at a splendid stately home with gardens, such as Haddon Hall (11.5 miles) or Chatsworth House (13.5 miles).

Step in and find yourselves in the elegant dining room, with its attractive feature fireplace and a table big enough for the whole family. This is the perfect spot for serving celebratory meals or gathering for games nights. Here, there is a king-size room, a double and a bunk bedroom that the children will love. The family shower room is also at this level.

The beautifully designed, tiered courtyard features stone steps and cobbles alongside leafy planting and colourful flowers. Savour the spring and summer sunshine out here and dine together under the stars on warm evenings. Parking for this cottage is on the street.
