Situated in a quaint Cornish village on the edge of Bodmin Moor, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this quirky barn conversion offers small families and groups of friends the ultimate countryside escape. This peaceful spot near the border of Devon and Cornwall offers plenty of scenic footpaths beginning from the doorstep, perfect for walkers, hikers and nature lovers. The River Lyhner offers a vast area of open access moorland and a multitude of public footpaths. Centrally located, this is a superb base for exploring Cornwall’s countryside with scenic routes stretching out in every direction and easy access to both north and south coastlines and the South West Coast Path. Head to the north coast and visit legendary Tintagel or Bude's sea pool and surf beaches, or venture south and explore hidden coves and pretty fishing towns and villages, such as Looe and Polperro.  The Cornish towns of Liskeard and Launceston are close by with pubs, shops, restaurants and historic buildings.

Beneath the rustic brickwork exterior, you’ll find a haven of period charm throughout this sympathetically converted barn, which retains much of its stunning original features. Through a large, arched wooden door, you’re greeted with the lounge/diner that’s brimming with country cottage charm and original features. The high, beamed ceiling adds a sense of space, whilst the magnificent, exposed brickwork fireplace housing a roaring wood burner and quirky arched windows set the scene for pure relaxation. A few steps down lead into the traditional, country cottage-style kitchen, which showcases even more period charm with exposed brickwork and stunning slate flooring. The cosy playroom offers a space for children to let off some steam before bedtime, whilst the delightful sunroom, with lovely views overlooking the garden, is perfect for unwinding at the end of a busy day. You’ll also find a handy utility area in the sunroom. Boasting a wonderful arched stained-glass window, the super king size bedroom on the ground floor provides a haven of tranquillity to retire to (can be converted in to a twin on request). Two staircases lead to the first floor, which encompasses a king-size bedroom with an additional single bed and a super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom, which can also be converted into a twin on request. Located beneath the eaves, both bedrooms have characterful sloping ceilings and stunning exposed brickwork (there is restricted head height in both bedrooms). The family bathroom and shower room perfectly combine period features with contemporary charm, providing everything you need to feel refreshed.

Outside, beside the barn, you’ll find a wonderful, furnished patio seating area and quaint turret structure, the perfect spot to enjoy dining alfresco with your morning coffee or a glass of something chilled. The extensive main garden offers a large lawn ideal for outdoor games, as well as a delightful apple tree which provides a shaded spot to sit back and relax. There is parking for two cars available.
