This is Hadrian’s Wall country where families and friends can explore, walk and cycle sections of this World Heritage Site and visit the Roman Forts and fascinating Museums at nearby Vindolanda (8.2 miles) and Housesteads (11 miles). Head to Hexham Abbey (9.1 miles), Hexham itself is a historic market town where you can stroll through Sele Park, browse the shops, bars, cafes, and restaurants, and Hexham Racecourse makes for a fun day out. Vibrant Corbridge’s Roman town is perfect for a river walk and the captivating ‘Time Capsule’ museum with a great choice of places to eat, historic pubs, and independent shops for local produce and gifts to take home.

This unique and luxurious property is a clever blend of two converted former farm buildings connected by a glass walkway. The property has underfloor heating and handmade, bespoke furniture throughout. The open-plan former gingang roundhouse is home to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The curved shape of the lounge has been beautifully mirrored with specially made curved leather sofas for you to relax and unwind on. There is a walnut baby grand piano you can play for a family sing-a-long and a curved Smart TV for movie nights. For a little quiet time, head to the unique fairy tale-inspired library with a hidden reading snug and an electric wood burner or spend time in the heated indoor Victorian botanic garden with more seating, a telescope, and a soothing water feature. The kitchen has been specially designed to create meals and drinks for large groups and is packed full of features and high-end appliances the family chefs will love. Sit together for sociable mealtimes at the huge dining table set around the centre. Before dinner, head into the beautiful art deco-style cocktail bar area which has been accessorised with comfortable seating, chandeliers, Smart TV, and a Bluetooth speaker for music. Bi-fold doors open out to the patio where you will find more seating so you can bring your favourite cocktails and enjoy the inside/outside living experience. At bedtime, there are eight beautifully presented bedrooms, each with a Smart TV. There is a four-poster king-size bedroom with a hidden bathroom featuring a copper, free-standing roll-top bath and beautiful views from the bath, and French doors lead to a balcony with private seating. There is a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a king-size with an en-suite wet room and French doors leading to outdoor private seating. There are two bedrooms with super-king-size zip-and-link beds (which can be made up as twins on request) and en-suite wet rooms. A super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as a twin on request) with an en-suite wet-room and French doors leading to outdoor private seating. Both family bedrooms also have an en-suite wet-rooms and a Juliette balcony.

Outside, there is an enclosed garden and lovely views of the open countryside and beyond. It has three aqua rolling massage loungers to relax weary muscles and also a swimming area which has the technology for long distance swimming, exercise and well-being.

Fantastic cottage for a girls weekend away. Really good standard throughout with huge entertaining space and separate bar. Given the time of year (Feb) we did not really make use of the pool. Ample parking, very private and we went to the nearby Langley Castle for Sunday lunch which was excellent. Would definitely book again.
