This is the ideal route for walking and cycling or plan a stroll along the Wessex Ridgeway. Hambledon Hill and neighbouring Hod Hill (5 miles) are also well worth a visit to take in the stunning views across three counties. The nearby River Stour boasts some excellent wild swimming spots, perfect for the summer months or explore local towns including Shaftesbury (8 miles), home to the iconic Gold Hill.

Accessed via an unmade lane and shared drive, this semi-detached converted barn is timber clad and has lovely far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside. Here you will find a king-size bedroom with balcony window so you can really take in the breath-taking scenery and a comfortable twin bedroom just opposite. Lovely lodge in a lovely location. We booked both East and West lodges and shared the accommodation with family. Very clean and comfortable stay. The views are spectacular, lots of wildlife to see (deer, pheasants, owl, bats, red kites, buzzards) and the hot tub was fantastic. A great week away, would definitely recommend and hope to return :-)

Amazing location, beautiful views, lovely house. We had 3 lovely days here, and would come back again. Our little boy wanted to sell our house and move in!

We went for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday and it was the perfect location for what we needed! The views and setting were beautiful and not too far away from exploring little villages near by! The hot tub was the cherry on the top! Mum and I loved it, thank you!

Our countryside holiday lived up to our expectations. The accommodation in Tallet barn West is accessed by a long narrow and bumpy lane off the main road so be prepared. Being able to sit in the hot tub and take in the scenery was lovely. The surrounding area is covered with a network of footpaths to get you out to discover the landscape. Young fooRead moretball players are able to make use of the small pitch at most times however the indoor tennis/badminton courts need to be booked 24 hours inadvance. Hide
