Gorgeous surroundings. Loved seeing the deer in the garden. Needs some updating and general improvements before anyone is to book in the future. Then should be great.

We had a great holiday with everything we needed. We were a party of 3 generations and everyone had everything they needed for a comfortable stay. Our stay at The Cart House was wonderful. Plenty of room (and parking) for a family of 9 ranging from 80 down to a 2 year old. Kitchen was fabulously equipped. Rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. The location is peaceful and was great for exploring this part Dorset. We spent a lot of time in Swanage which was less than 30mins drive away. Great location- not remote but very private- we loved the cottage. Close to many of the Dorset attractions we visited. Close to Wareham for topping up supplies. Close to family friendly pubs for nights we didnt want to cook. When we did want to cook there was plenty of room to all sit together in the dining room or to dine outside. The Cart House is set in beautiful peaceful surroundings but not too far from the many attractions that the local area offers. The house itself is a little tatty, especially some of the lounge seating. The bathrooms could do with a revamp but are perfectly functional. Very nice setting. Good location (track to House is bumpy, could be an issue for lowered cars). Only 9 can squeeze round dinner table. 7 can sit in living room. We enjoyed our holiday at the comfortable but tired property. Cleaning was adequate but not thorough. Despite reassurances in the holiday booklet the water colour (yellow) was very worrying, we used bottled. Lovely atmosphere in front of the wood burner however promised first night logs were not there on arrival.

The house provided us with everything we wanted, and we had a great stay. A bit tired in a few places, and the plumbing really struggles (had issues with not enough hot water / over-hot water / showers running dry). A lovely property more than adequate for ten adults or a mixture of adults and children. A good size garden for games or relaxing in the sun. Whilst the track to the property was long enough and a bit rough it made for a very quiet and peaceful location but only a few minutes from the center of Wareham
