Make wonderful memories with your loved ones at this elegant retreat, set on a working farm in the peaceful hamlet of Caenby. Sleeping four guests across two bedrooms, it’s ideal for small families or friends looking for a cosy countryside escape. Surrounded by unspoilt rural scenery, the property enjoys direct access to quiet country lanes, public footpaths and scenic farmland walks — perfect for morning strolls, dog walking or simply soaking up the tranquillity of this wonderfully peaceful setting. The rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds (9 miles) are within easy reach. Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Wolds are renowned for their sweeping landscapes, charming villages and panoramic walking routes, making them a haven for walkers and nature lovers alike. The historic city of Lincoln (14.5 miles) is perfect for exploring the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle. Enjoy a thrilling day at Market Rasen Racecourse (8.5 miles), browse Europe’s largest antiques centre at Hemswell Antique Centres (4.4 miles), or experience the ultimate adrenaline rush at Skydive Hibaldstow (9.8 miles).

Park up (there’s room for three cars) and head into this exquisite, brick farmhouse, which dates back to 1788. An entrance hall leads to an elegant open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. Take a moment to admire the rustic charm of the overhead beams and classic furnishings before you head to the impressive kitchen area. Gather everyone together to eat at the elegant dining table, before you unwind by the crackling fire of the wood burner. Alternatively, climb up the glass spiral staircase, and you’ll find a cosy reading nook. Retire to one of two king-size bedrooms, both of which offer access to the Jack and Jill bathroom, which has a free-standing bath and a walk-in shower. One of the bedrooms has a zip-and-link bed that can be converted into a twin on request.

Get everyone together by the fenced pond in the enclosed garden to celebrate with an al fresco dinner to remember.

  • Due to the glass spiral staircase and large fenced pond at this property, children must be supervised and the stairgates must be used on the staircase. Additionally the property may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues.
  • Dogs to be kept downstairs please and, as the property is on a working farm, should be on a lead when on the grounds.
  • Two friendly Farm cats frequently visit property grounds
  • Please note that the Old Hall and its garden/grounds are private

A lovely cottage set in quiet peaceful surroundings, calm and secure. A quality fitted kitchen with high end appliances, especially the coffee machine. Sonia is an excellent host, clear timely communication with attention to detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hoped to enjoy the new garden furniture but the weather decided against it! Everything in the cottage was top quality. The owner greeted us and make sure everything was as good as it could be. We would certainly return for another visit.
