Unfortunately we we vacated the venue after 4 nights due to 2 infestations of Flying ants in the bathroom and even worse in the upstairs bedroom on the window, bedding and our clothes as there is no hanging space. The pool garden appears to be enclosed in the photos but in fact it adjoins the other properties garden.

Great cottage in lovely setting. Our October stay was enhanced by the fabulous sunsets viewed from the patio. Surrounding countryside stunning and lots to do. A wildflower meadow was being planted while we were there and we hope it will be a beautiful addition.

Delightful cottage in peaceful and (for us) idyllic surroundings, comfortable and well appointed. the pool (which we used on several occasions) was a welcome bonus. Very likely to return in the future. Thoroughly recommended.

We were very shocked to see the garden wasnt enclosed as advertised. Thats the reason why we booked it as our dog is very reactive to other humans. We felt intimidated by the owner questioning why we had to make a barricade to make the garden safe. 3of the 4 outside chairs were ripped and most of the outside furniture is very old and needs replacinRead moreg. This property needs some reinvestment especially outside. We will not be returning to this property. Hide

We had a fabulous week at The Lodge, we were lucky to have good weather and enjoyed the pool everyday. Gorgeous location with lovely long dog walks round every corner. We were just 40mins away from home but felt a world away and my 8 year said that time had slowed down!

What a fantastic week we spent at The Lodge. Such a beautiful place in a beautiful landscape. The pool was heated and the perfect size for a decent swim. My son absolutely loved the pool. Had a BBQ most nights in the garden, listening to the birds. There's a cut behind the meadow that takes you to the pub in Barton Stacey in about 30mins, which hasRead more amazing food and friendly staff, just make sure you Google the opening times and food times to avoid disappointment. With perfect weather we made full use of the excellent swimming pool! The property is in a lovely rural location with extensive grounds ideal for just relaxing - perfect, if like us you have a dog. The owner Clare was friendly and helpful and we thank her for providing our holiday home. We can thoroughly recommend the Mayfly, near Stockbridge and wRead moree also dined well at the Plough Inn Longparish and the White Hart, Stockbridge. Course fishing at the Golden Pond Fishery at Fullerton was excellent. Hide

Beautiful, peaceful position with plenty of walks from the door. Swimming pool is an added perk. The village shop and staff were so friendly and helpful giving us a map of the area with suggested walks and telling us about Stockbridge, a small town only 15mins away with some excellent pubs for lunches.

Lovely setting but would like to state that the 2nd bedroom is very small no storage or mirror. Stairs are very steep and tricky to get up and down. Also the fact we had to take rubbish with us found that very odd.

This is a lovely property, the grounds and pool are amazing, but the garden itself needs a good tidy up, broken and rusty patio furniture removed. There is loads of potential but it is not what we consider as Luxury! A few personal touches (dog bowl, pint of milk!) and a deep clean would make this a stunning retreat! We were fortunate to have sunshRead moreine so made good use of the pool which is very well maintained. Hide
