The spectacular formations at Brimham Rocks, just 2 miles away, are well worth a visit, as are the beautiful ruins and gardens at Fountains Abbey. Take a day to explore the nearby town of Pateley Bridge, just 4 miles away, where you can browse the quaint streets and quirky shops, wander along the river or enjoy one of the many cafes and restaurants. For a spot of retail therapy, the bustling spa town of Harrogate offers a fabulous choice of shops, restaurants and bars. The area is a paradise for walkers and cyclists alike, set in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within the Yorkshire Dales. Whilst there are tracks and trails straight from your doorstep, there is plenty on offer for those wishing to take a trip further afield for the day too. The cathedral city of Ripon is just 11 miles away, with nearby Newby Hall and Lightwater Valley providing fun-filled, family days out.

Steeped in history, the heart of this characterful property is the large, rustic farmhouse kitchen. With its traditional gas-fired AGA and additional gas hob, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to rustle up a home-cooked meal, including a microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, and pod coffee machine. The spacious ground floor benefits from the traditional, stone flagged floors throughout with cosy underfloor heating and an abundance of original period features, such as beautiful, exposed beams. The lounge is spacious and light and the ideal place for all the family to socialise and relax in front of a roaring fire in the open Georgian fireplace or enjoy a film on the TV/DVD with an Amazon Firestick. Between the lounge and the kitchen is the dining room with its traditional range, a large dining table and baby grand piano - the perfect place for social dining and entertaining. The ground floor accommodation is completed with a boot room and separate WC, an ideal spot to wipe muddy paws and leave dirty boots after a day of exploring. Additionally, down a few steps, you will find a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and an extra fridge. On the first floor, at the front of the house, you will find two spacious bedrooms: one super-king-size and one super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into twins on request), both with an en-suite shower room and WC. Up a separate staircase to the rear of the property, are three further bedrooms: two doubles and one further super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request) and a bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. To complete the interior of this beautiful house is a wonderful snug and games room in the attic, with Smart TV, PlayStation2 and children's pool table. With a low ceiling and beams throughout, it is the perfect hideaway for children to watch movies and play games.

Externally, the property enjoys an enclosed, south-facing lawned garden with beautiful flower beds. To the rear, is a west-facing private courtyard, which catches the evening sun, with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ - the ideal spot to relax and enjoy a glass of wine on a summer’s evening or delight in some al fresco dining.
