Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and set on the edge of the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This is a great base for nature lovers, wildlife enthusiast and those who are looking to explore on foot or two wheels.  Within a short distance you will find Malham mentioned in the Domesday book as 'Malgun' where you can visit Malham tarn and admire the Gordale Scar complete with waterfalls.  The market town of Skipton is close by where you will find various restaurants and cafes along with retails shops and the famous Skipton Castle.

Stepping into the property you will find yourself in the kitchen/diner, equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and microwave. You can then enjoy the resulting meal at the dining table. Step up a couple of steps into the lounge, the perfect space to relax after a long day, with wood burner and Smart TV, this room also has feature glass flooring, lit up to show the old workings of the well, which the water from is used for the flushing of the toilets.  Heading upstairs to the first floor from the kitchen, you will find the two bedrooms, both are super-king-size zip-and-links (which can be made up as twins on request), both with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Both bedrooms also have Smart TVs.  The property has air source heat pump underfloor heating throughout, and energy saving photovoltaics solar panels.

Heading outside to the front of the property, there is a courtyard with some garden furniture so you can enjoy al fresco dining, and the private hot tub to relax in. There is also an enclosed courtyard area to the rear, and private off-road parking for two cars.

Great cottage in a fantastic location. Quiet but easy walk into town (20 mins). The facilities were good and the hot tub a bonus after long days walking in the surrounding area. Hardly used our car at all. Ingleborough caves are worth a visit

A lovely location, which was quiet and peaceful, amplified by glorious weather. The three night stay was enjoyed by three family members and two dogs. Comfortable accommodation. Well equipped. The property had a number of interesting features and was beautifully renovated, which contributed to the enjoyment of our stay.

The area was wonderful. We loved Settle, especially the river walk and the bookshop. The Yorkshire dales are beautiful and we had mainly bright weather to enjoy walks and trips out. The electric charge on site was really helpful.

This property is amazing. Its been lovingly restored by the owners to a very high standard. A listed building with a lot of history and quirky features. Small kitchen but a very spacious house. Recommend taking a head torch for night time outside. Part of a bigger project going on next door which I will definitely be returning to. Peaceful location, only short distance from a well equipped town. Walking routes from the property. Plentiful parking. Garden thoughtfully secured for our small dog. Beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms. This is a lovely cottage with two well-appointed bedrooms and ensuites (watch out for the wooden beam when you go to the loo at night). It has everything you might need, even down to hairdryer and dressing gowns. The kitchen area is small so you can't share cooking duties but there are good pubs in the villages. We particularly recommend the CravenRead more Arms. There are walks and runs directly from the cottage. It's a great location, with lots to do nearby. Totally recommended. Hide

Had the perfect weekend away and the accommodation is gorgeous with many lovely walks in area. Thank you to the owners for the lovely welcome gift Prosecco, teabags, coffee, bread and milk was very much appreciated. Gorgeous cottage, even better than the photos. Stunning views too. We had a lovely time, we did not want to leave. What a place, we will definitely be returning. An absolutely amazing stay. For the two of us (plus hound), the accommodation was brilliantly located for hiking and exploring - walking distance to Settle but a number of hiking routes literally pass by the door - we didnt need to touch the car for a few days. We absolutely loved our stay here. Lovely house very well done. Our boys were fascinated with the well in the living room. The dogs where a big fan of the underfloor heating Nice welcome hamper and absolutely everything you need at the house. We will 100% return hopefully with family or friends and for them to book next door.

What a charming and beautiful little cottage in the heart of north Yorkshire. The converted barn is exactly as described, in a perfect location for many walks. The hot tub has stunning views and it was so convenient having an EV charger. We received a lovely welcome hamper upon arrival. If you want total peace and quiet this barn is perfect, yet so close to settle. The owner is extremely helpful to answer any questions.

Just back from a great week at Chance's Well. Couldn't fault the place at all. My daughter's particularly enjoyed the hot tub. We went on trips to a lot of nearby towns and attractions and at the end of the day it was always nice to go back to such a welcoming house. Would highly recommend a stay here.
