An elegant holiday home in a highly desirable position at the heart of Ambleside, this splendid retreat is the perfect place for that group gathering you have been considering. Sleeping 14 guests, the seven-bedroom, period property makes a magnificent base for those with something special to celebrate. Enjoy being right at the centre of the market town, with its bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from. Head out for some retail therapy, then pause for afternoon tea. Stroll less than 1 mile down to Waterhead to hire your own boats to take out onto Windermere. Board an organised lake cruise together instead. Plan a group hike, perhaps the 3.5-mile walk to Grasmere along the Coffin Route. While you are in Grasmere, don't forget to stock up on some mouth-watering Lakeland gingerbread. For a longer walk, venture 9.5 miles to Glenridding and embark on a section of the 20-mile-long Ullswater Way.

Step inside this attractive retreat to find generous accommodation for you and your party to spread out into and enjoy during your stay. Head straight through to the kitchen to offload the shopping you have bought and start preparing the next feast. The grand dining room is the perfect place to gather for these special meals. Choose between a selection of lounges for watching TV, playing games or finding some quiet time away from the crowd for a spell. One lounge features the Smart TV, another has two snug areas and a third has a second TV and an external door that you can open up during the warmer months to bring in a fresh breeze. A utility room, shower room and separate WC are also downstairs. When you are ready to rest for the night, climb the stairs to one of the beautifully finished bedrooms. On the first floor, you will find a twin, a king-size and two doubles, each with either an en-suite shower room or a dedicated family shower room. Three more bedrooms are on the second floor. These are all double in size. Two have en-suite shower rooms and one benefits from a separate shower room, ensuring everyone enjoys privacy and comfort.

Although there is no garden at this property, there is a small bench outside where you can ponder for a spell with your book and a cup of tea. Ambleside Park is just 350 metres away for those seeking a green, open space. There is private parking for six cars at the property.
