The town has three beautiful beaches: Harbour Beach, Traeth Gwyn and the nearest, the pet-friendly Traeth y Dolau. From the harbour, you can take a boat trip out to explore the spellbinding Cardigan Bay coast, with chances to spot dolphins out to sea. For water sports enthusiasts, Cwmtydu Beach is ideal for kayaking (5 miles), or you can head north to the colourful Georgian-era Aberaeron (7.5 miles). Inland, the National Trust-owned Llanerchaeron is open to the public, an elegant villa designed by Nash in the 18th century (9 miles).
