  • Perfect coastal holiday home for a family with exclusive access to the beach
  • This quiet and popular North Norfolk village has an excellent pub, shop and café
  • Ideally located for visiting numerous coastal golf courses, National Trust sites and the North Norfolk Steam Railway
Property code: OC-87758

Overstrand offers the best of both worlds; you can enjoy leisurely walks by the sea or a trip to the traditional fun-filled seaside resort of Cromer just 2 miles away. The cliff-top café in the village is a lovely spot to enjoy splendid sea views. You can also call in at the pub offering a fantastic menu of home-cooked meals. The North Norfolk Steam Railway takes a scenic route from Weybourne to Sheringham via Holt (7 miles). Families will love Amazona Zoo just 3 miles away. Hire a boat at Stalham (15 miles) to explore the 125 miles of lock-free waterways that make up the magnificent Norfolk Broads.

On entering, the spacious hallway leads around to the lounge area on the right-hand side. This is the perfect place to relax after a long day on the beach; a four-seater sofa and two arm-chairs which surround a wall mounted Smart TV, ensuring you need not miss catching up on your favourite show even when on holiday. There are French doors which lead out the wooden decking and private walled patio area. The kitchen has everything the chef among you will need to feel at home; an electric oven and electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine that will no doubt come in handy to wash the sand out of your socks. Once dinner has been lovingly prepared, serve up at the dining table which can seat up to six guests. Off from the lounge there is the first bedroom - a double bedroom with plenty of space to store any personal items. Head back out in the hallway and you’ll find a twin zip-and-link (which can be made into a super-king-size on request). The master bedroom is a super-king-size with en-suite shower room with WC. It has ample storage space and a wall mounted Smart TV. The family bathroom completes the layout and has a bath (perfect if you want to soak those tired legs after being out and about exploring all day), separate shower, and WC.

Outside this mid terrace bungalow you have an enclosed decked and patio area with table and chairs and BBQ area (BBQ not provided, disposables welcome) should you wish to dine alfresco. The owner of the neighbouring property has kindly given guests direct access via the footpath from the property, through his garden to the clifftop where there is a gate and steps which lead directly down to the sandy beach. There is private off-street parking directly outside the front of the property for two cars.

Property was spotlessly cleans and every utensil you could need. We didnt spend that much time in the place but Im sure the outdoor area would be great. The walk down to the beach from the garden of the cottage is a bit treacherous and would recommend taking the slipway near the cafe (also excellent). Walking to Cromer was lovely.

We have had a fabulous week at Cliff Top Cottage. The property was spotlessly clean on arrival and the kitchen was very well equipped (one of the best we have stayed in). Having holidayed on the North Norfolk Coast as a child, it was SO lovely to revisit and take many "trips down memory lane".

An impressive cottage which is well fitted out and equipped to a high standard with all mod cons well above the norm for a rented holiday property. Disappointing that 'Holiday cottages' require the 250 damage deposit to be paid in full at the time of the final payment rather than simply held against a credit card.
