Perfectly placed just a short drive takes you into the vibrant market town of Launceston, known as being the ancient capital of Cornwall and offering a range of shops and pubs as well as a castle and steam railway to enjoy. Alternatively head towards the North Coast and you will discover the area is populated with a great selection of must-see destinations including the fishing villages of Boscastle and Tintagel, both within a 20-mile drive; or the South Coast where pretty Looe (23 miles) and Polperro (28 miles) are well worth a visit. Other attractions and places of interest easily accessible from here include Tavistock (14 miles), the stunning Camel Valley and Camel Valley Vineyard (25 miles), Dartmoor (15 miles) and Bodmin Moor (8 miles).

Step inside this characterful property and you will immediately find yourself in the spacious open-plan living area. This wonderfully sociable room provides somewhere to lounge, dine and cook and boasts beautiful mullion windows, exposed beams, a Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker and a warming wood burner. Here you can relax in comfort after a busy day exploring the coast or country or just enjoy a laid back meal. Also perfectly appointed is the kitchen area which offers a great range of equipment including an electric range oven and hob, microwave, fridge with an ice compartment and also a dishwasher. Now venture up the stairs and onto the first floor where you will find that the light and the airy theme continues alongside a fabulous vaulted ceiling and further exposed beams. Here you will discover the beautiful bedrooms, the first of which is a spacious king-size with a walk-in dressing area. The second bedroom is a perfectly styled yet cosy twin (with 2'6" zip-and-link beds that can be made into a king-size upon request) which overlooks the countryside, and then completing the accommodation inside the property is a shower room with a large walk-in shower and WC.

Venturing outside there is a selection of outside spaces including a patio area with garden furniture, plus an undercover area with seating and a gas BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining. There is also a useful utility with a washing machine which adjoins the property. Additionally you have full access to the stunning grounds which includes a pond with seating and stunning views. There is ample private off-road parking.

Cottage is in a quiet location that is easy accessible to the local shops and pub. Rooms are quite comfortable,shower great and other rooms well furnished.

Beautifully renovated annex with everything needed for a luxurious relaxing break. The use of a large field for our dog was a real bonus!. Perfect location for amenities and ideal for exploring the area. Hosts were exceptionally helpful and available if needed. Book it- you wont regret it!

Cottage is close to Launceston town for main essentials. Quiet location with only noise coming from neighbouring farm animals and machinery such as tractors. Garden is not totally dog friendly as there are gaps in the fencing but otherwise okay.

Julie and David were great host they even shared there dinner with us when we arrived on friday evening.we found the property was just as we expected very clean and well kept and would definitely be going back again in the future.

what a great find.Julie and Dave were so lovely and helpful . The location of the cottage is perfect for exploring cornwall. The pub frog and bucket which is about a 15 minute walk up the lane is lovley ,food was nice . we look forward to going again next year .

As perviously stated by other reviews Julie and Dave were amazing hosts and very welcoming. The cottage is in a great location and so tranquil yet only a few minute from the town. The cottage has been done to a high standard and is very comfortable. The outside space is great and we enjoyed sitting in the sun and appreciating the surroundings. What a beautiful cottage! Renovated sympathetically with exposed beams and log burner. Well equipped kitchen and bathroom and comfortable bedrooms. Lovely outside space with enclosed garden and field for the dog. Peaceful rural loction but close enough to supermarket and pub at the end of the lane!

The quality of the renovation of the history property is mind blowing incredible! The place is beauty, the best equipped property we have ever stayed in, and there is a large safe enclosed field for the dog to run. A great cottage in a beautiful setting, very comfortable and extremely well equipped Dave and Julie are friendly and very helpful hosts who bend over backwards to ensure everything is in order The location is accessible to so many amazing places to visit and the shops along with a large Tesco are a short drive away.
