Set in a beautiful coastal location, within walking distance of the beach, this hillside detached property offers stunning sea views over the bay. Downderry is a much sought after, popular village on the south Cornish coast with a beautiful shingle and sandy beach and some fine eateries close by. Just perfect for families and the perfect spot to explore all the villages and harbours that hug the coast. Why not take a day trip to the nearby fishing villages of Looe, Polperro, Kingsands and Cawsands. There is always plenty to do in this hidden corner of Cornwall, with The Eden Project, the National Maritime Museum and numerous National Trust properties all within easy reach. Or why not try an exhilarating day out for the whole family at the nearby Adrenalin Quarry or a trip to the Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary for something a little less challenging!

Step inside this hillside gem to the modern and well-equipped kitchen with electric double oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, to do as little or as much cooking as you like. The hallway leads into the light and airy conservatory with dining table and chairs, the perfect place to enjoy a good meal whilst planning the next days adventures and enjoy the wonderful views across the sea. The simply superb sitting room is a perfect social room along with amazing sea views, with a Smart TV to watch your favourite film or cosy up and read a book in front of the wood burner. Bi-fold doors open onto a peaceful decking area, extending the social living space, with the sound of wildlife not far away. The king-size bedroom has a smart TV, hanging space and vanity area to get ready for the day ahead. The spacious, super king, zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as twin beds on request, must be stated at the time of booking) has a Smart TV and hanging space. The shower room has a double shower cubicle with rainfall shower and hand held attachment and a WC. The utility room is equipped with a washing machine.

Outside there is a meandering pathway leading you to the property through the front garden with an incredible view from the decking seating area, its worth the climb! At the rear, a pathway leads to another terraced area with views directly over the rooftops to the sea. Please note, dogs are not allowed on the rear terrace. Relax and unwind in this suntrap on the sun loungers. There is on street parking directly outside the property. (subject to availability)

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the super sea-view. The area is stunning and unspoilt. The property was clean and comfortable. Shame we had poor weather and returned home to a heatwave!!! Otherwise it was perfect!

Perfect base for the week. Great sea view, handy parking (we used the public car park), nice pub and a lovely tapas bar.

It should be noted that there are 45 steps up to reach the balcony of this property. The views are gorgeous however but it was a real struggle for us with luggage and food supplies on arrival and departure. The parking isn't guaranteed and several times we had to park up the hill. We loved staying here. The property is perfectly set up with everything you need. Tamarisk is in a superb location with extensive sea views. The house is modern and stylish with generously sized rooms and a well equipped kitchen. Amazing place with stunning views, everything you need and a great location. Sometimes staying at these places you are left short on basics but they had everything. A second time of visiting this beautiful property. A stunning location in a gem of a location. We absolutely love it, the view of the sea, the short walk to the beach, a splendid restaurant a few minutes walk from the property what's not to love?! Highly recommend and the owner is lovely too.
