Escape with your loved ones to this lovely seaside retreat on the edge of a holiday park on a hillside sitting above Widemouth Bay Beach. Sleeping six people across three bedrooms, it’s an excellent choice for small families or groups of friends searching for a peaceful coastal hideaway to call home while they explore the Cornwall coast together. Wake up and set off for a hike along the South West Coast Path to the bustling town of Bude (3 miles). There you can take a stroll along the historic Bude Canal, go for a dip in the unique Bude Sea Pool, or simply browse the local shops, cafes and pubs. Alternatively, set off to explore the ruins of Penhallam Manor (8 miles), which date back to the 13th century, or grab your surfboard and make a beeline for one of the surf schools at Widemouth Bay (1 mile).
Step inside and you’ll find a welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area that’s flooded with natural light from the patio doors. Scandinavian-style lighting and a wood feature wall add an element of beachy glamour. Head to the galley kitchen area to rustle up some dinner to share at the large dining table, and then retire to the lounge area to catch up on your favourite TV shows. At the end of the day, you’ll find one super-king-size bedroom and two twin rooms (one with 2'6" beds that are perfect for younger guests). If you sleep in the super-king-size, you’ll wake up to sea views from your bed. A stylish family shower room completes the layout.
Dine alfresco on the terrace, which has uninterrupted sea views. Shared facilities include an indoor swimming pool, steam room, tennis court and bar (open Easter to October). There’s also a play park and a gym.
