This gorgeous chocolate box former fisherman’s cottage has been lovingly refurbished to provide an idyllic hideaway in one of the best roads in Southwold, perfect for a couple's retreat or a memory-making family break. Southwold is a charming seaside town on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, surrounded by the North Sea, the River Blyth, Southwold Harbour, and Buss Creek – combining perfectly for days of sandcastle building and wider coastal adventures. Lined with colourful beach huts and a popular Victorian pier (0.5 miles), a stroll along the promenade is always a treat, as are days of paddling and sandy fun at Southwold Beach (150 metres). Beyond the beachfront, Southwold offers a wide range of traditional seaside shops as well as excellent restaurants, cafes, and pubs. For a peaceful activity, enjoy ambling along the River Blyth, starting at the Alfred Corry Lifeboat Museum (1 mile), or enjoy a boat trip around Sole Bay, departing from Southwold Harbour (1 mile).

Before stepping into this historic Southwold home, take a moment to savour its charming exterior where colourful plants climb the red bricks and surround the traditional front door. Head inside and be greeted by a restful lounge that invites you to sit back and unwind after days of coastal adventure. As you relax in the soft seating, find your favourite shows on the Smart TV and enjoy the warmth of the flame-effect gas fire. When stomachs rumble, walk through to the well-appointed kitchen/diner, which benefits from a country cottage finish and offers everything needed for cooking up Suffolk feasts. Enjoy your meals at the round dining table or al fresco-style out in the courtyard garden. At the end of each busy day away, climb the steep cottage stairs to the first floor and find a sophisticated family bathroom where a free-standing bath invites long soaks. A gorgeous master king-size bedroom also occupies this floor, while the twin bedroom awaits up on the second floor and boasts views of the iconic Southwold Lighthouse.

Outside, a pretty and enclosed courtyard garden, with a variety of gorgeous spring and summer bulbs and plants, invites you to step out to enjoy quiet morning coffees and al fresco evening tipples together. Parking is on-street and subject to availability.
