Stay at this beautiful cottage in the Somerset village of Ashbrittle, surrounded by picturesque countryside. It’s a perfect choice for solo travellers or couples seeking a romantic rural retreat. It is an easy drive to discover Somerset's attractions, breathtaking landscapes and coastline, and access local amenities. The traditional market town of Wellington is only 8 miles away. This pretty spot offers independent shops and galleries, quirky cafes, and walks in the pretty Edwardian gardens. The property is a perfect base for walkers with access to the many trails of Exmoor and the Blackdown Hills, within 7 miles. The National Trust’s Fyne Court, 17 miles away, is in the Quantock Hills and offers woodland, meadow, and hill walks suitable for all abilities along well-marked trails. Alternatively, explore the nearby villages, including Wiveliscombe (6 miles), and take a dip in the heated outdoor swimming pool.

This welcoming single-storey cottage has a delightful stone exterior, and as soon as you step into this cosy space, you will leave your cares behind and begin to unwind. As you enter this studio-style layout, on your left is the bedroom area, featuring a king-size bed with views out of the window, so you can enjoy a lazy coffee or cuppa in bed to start your day. The sleeping area has plenty of storage space and, like the rest of the cottage, features many thoughtful touches in the decor and furnishings that bring an elegant, country-style feel to the place. Natural light pours through the windows and doors, creating a fresh and inviting space to socialise. Snuggle up in the sitting area, pop a log in the wood burner on the cooler evenings and catch up on your favourite box set on the Smart TV. To your right as you enter the cottage is the compact corner kitchen, which has all the appliances you need to rustle up a lazy brunch, a picnic to go, or a romantic dinner to share at the dining table. A contemporary shower room with a walk-in shower and WC completes this splendid cottage.

Head outside to enjoy the lovely patio area, featuring outdoor seating and a BBQ, an ideal spot for al fresco dining on fine evenings. Private parking for one car is available.

Charles wasa great host he has done an amazing job renovating this old piggery.It is a beautiful quirky building. We have never stayed anywhere quite like it. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and lots of lovely walks for our 4 legged companion.

We had a wonderful stay! The location and accommodation were exactly what we were looking for quiet (didnt notice the noise from farm) , comfortable, and perfectly suited for a relaxing getaway. The facilities were great and everything we needed was available. Would definitely recommend this place if youre after a nice, relaxing stay
