Stylish Coastal Retreat Near Bude

Enjoying a peaceful setting on the North Cornwall coast, this stylish annexe is perfectly positioned for discovering the very best of the area. The vibrant seaside town of Bude is just 2 miles away, easily reached by car or via scenic footpaths leading directly from the property through the golf course into the town centre. Here you'll find Bude's renowned trio of beaches, Summerleaze, Crooklets and Northcott, alongside a fantastic selection of independent shops, cafés and restaurants.

For walkers, the breathtaking South West Coast Path is within easy reach, offering dramatic clifftop trails and spectacular Atlantic Ocean views. Further afield, the legendary village of Tintagel (20 miles) invites visitors to explore its fascinating Arthurian heritage and historic castle ruins, while the picturesque fishing village of Clovelly (18 miles) charms with its steep cobbled streets and quaint harbour.

From the private parking area, step into your own tranquil retreat. Surrounded by beautifully planted gardens and attractive terraces, a garden path leads to the contemporary kitchen and dining area, thoughtfully designed for a relaxing and stress-free stay. Fully equipped with everything needed for effortless self-catering, it's an inviting space to prepare and enjoy leisurely meals together.

The kitchen flows seamlessly into the comfortable lounge, where plush seating and a Smart TV provide the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the coast. Just off the lounge is a modern shower room with a WC.

Located beyond the kitchen is the spacious master bedroom, featuring a king-size bed, ample storage, and a stylish en-suite shower room. Although attached to the owner's home, the property has been carefully designed to provide guests with a wonderful sense of privacy and exclusivity throughout their stay.

Outside

The outdoor space is a real highlight, offering three separate seating areas where guests can relax, dine and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. A private lawned garden provides plenty of space to unwind, while the superb outdoor kitchen, complete with a BBQ grill and pizza oven, creates the perfect setting for memorable alfresco dining on warm Cornish evenings.

Private parking for one car is provided within the carport.

The cottage was beautiful, well equipped and comfortable. The garden was lovely and very relaxing. The location was ideal and Paul and Sarah, the owners, were very accommodating and helpful.

What a lovely week away in stunning North Cornwall. The property was ideally situated to explore the beaches, countryside and historical sites. With a bespoke covered car parking space within the property, you enter through your own gate into a stunning secluded garden for your sole use during your stay. The garden benefits from a well equipped outRead moredoor kitchen but we really enjoyed the planting and the little statues and garden ornaments- seemingly finding a new one every day! The cottage itself is freshly decorated and everything is brand new. So comfortable and homely. Its the little touches that make it special too. Chocolates and fresh flowers on arrival, scented pouches in the drawers and lots of hangers something rarely found! There isnt a thing Sarah and Paul havent thought of to make your stay enjoyable. They are such a lovely couple too, nothing is too much trouble. Definitely going back! Hide

A gorgeous sanctuary. We had such a lovely stay here for our "babymoon". We hadn't been to Bude before but enjoyed exploring and spending time on the beaches. We spent the most time at Ferrer's enjoying the different shaded (or sunny) spots around the garden and just decompressing. The cottage had everything we needed including thoughtful additionaRead morel touches which we didn't even realise we needed! Being able to park under the car port to save our car from the heatwave sunshine of 2026 was such a nice touch. We would happily recommend it to friends and family, and hope to visit again in the future! Hide

Loved the privacy and the beautiful garden, the way the sun moves around the garden during the day giving shade and full sun to separate areas at different times is very well thought out

As we were the first paying guests at the retreat, it was immaculate. Beautiful bed linen, very comfortable bed, perfect dcor (minimalist with local artist paintings) and a well appointed kitchen are the highlights, but there are so many other great elements to the Retreat. The garden is completely private and is not overlooked by any other propertRead moreies. An outdoor kitchen with pizza oven and BBQ (we didn't use these but they are there for guests to use freely) and finally off-road parking in a car port. Location is good with only a short drive to the beaches at Bude or local pubs. Shops and supermarkets are fairly close by too. As the weather was mixed on our week, we made use of the bowling alley and the nearby independent cinema. Being seniors now (and with a special two for one offer) we paid more for our ice creams than for our cinema tickets. Paul and Sarah were perfect hosts and made sure we were comfortable and checked once in a while to see if we needed anything (we didn't, but its nice to be asked!) They also suggested a couple of local places for Sunday lunch and a boot fair worth a look around on the Sunday afternoon. All in all, we had a lovely relaxing week away in a super, little cottage. We are looking forward to returning in the future. Hide
