Hanworth Common is tucked away in a delightful corner of north Norfolk and has a listing in the Domesday Book of 1085. The Common itself is over 30 acres and stretches of the River Bure run through it. With lovely walks and good cycling on the doorstep. Just a few miles away is the town of Holt which is a popular on the North Norfolk map. Seek out its Georgian charm and character, art and antique galleries, fashion boutiques, food shops offering the best of local produce, café's, pubs and restaurants. Holt also offers the winter favourite of the Christmas Light display and light switch on in late November when the towns join together to watch the wonderful display and a glass of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts. The Green Flag awarded Holt Country Park has over 100 acres of woodland to discover and Holt is also home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway, where you can pick up the Poppy Line and enjoy a train ride to Weybourne and Sheringham on a diesel or steam train. Slightly further afield are the delightful seaside resorts of Sheringham and Cromer just a few miles up the road from Holt, there is something for everyone to discover here from the cafes, shops, amusement arcades and beautiful beaches, Cromer also offers the Amazon Zoo for a fun filled family day out, and dont forget to try the famous Cromer Crab!

In the other direction dont forget to visit the villages of Kelling, Salthouse, Cley and Blakeney which offers something for everyone throughout the year. Springtime brings the migrating birds, spring flowers and the striking fields of yellow gorse up on Kelling Heath. In the summer the coast comes into its own with Kelling beach offering a beautiful and deserted oasis of secluded calm away from it all as the common seals arrive to pup at Blakeney Point, or why not take a boat trip out to see the seals themselves. Autumn is a birders’ paradise with more migrating birds with fantastic bird watching sites at Cley, and Sheringham Park.

The cottage was in a peaceful location, but within easy access of interesting towns and the beaches. It was very well-equipped, with instructions supplied for all electrical appliances. It was helpful to have a second fridge in the utility room.

Wonderful cottage with fantastic views across the common. Really good location with plenty of walks and close to the coast. The house is well equipped and 7 of us enjoyed cooking and eating a Christmas dinner as there is plenty of space. Every room was warm and comfortable. Would strongly recommend if you are after a peaceful relaxing break. The gaRead morerden and the location would be even better during the summer. Hide

Needed somewhere to sleep 10 and as near to erpingham as possible and this fitted the bill perfectly. Pleanty of parking space and more than enough room inside the house didn't spend too much time at the property as we were visiting nearby family

As a family of 9 and a dog, we had a lovely stay at Woodside. It was perfect for everything we needed, and unlike other places weve stayed in with this number of people- it had plenty of living space too, so we werent all on top of each other all the time! Beautiful house, beautiful location. Thank you so much.
