This striking, boutique-style holiday home enjoys a prime position right in the centre of Henley-in-Arden. Sleeping six guests across three stylish bedrooms, the three-storey Warwickshire retreat makes a great base for both families and groups of friends. The cottage is on the town’s famous mile-long high street, which is lined with an array of historic buildings and independent shops. The town also has a fantastic range of pubs and restaurants, along with bakeries, ice cream parlours, and fish and chip shops. The long-distance Millennium Way passes through the town, offering excellent walking opportunities through the surrounding countryside. Stratford-upon-Avon is just 8 miles away and makes a lovely day out. The historic town is renowned for its links to William Shakespeare, and you can visit the playwright’s birthplace and former school, as well as the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Other nearby attractions include Warwick Castle, the National Trust’s Packwood House, and Charlecote Park (all within 15 miles).

The quaint, red brick cottage is decorated in a contemporary style, with a simple colour scheme and a fabulous collection of quirky accessories and artwork sitting alongside the property’s characterful original features. At the heart of the home is a stunning lounge with whitewashed walls and original beams, as well as a cosy wood burner for chilly evenings. Unwind in here with your holiday read or a classic film on the Smart TV. To the rear of the cottage is a sleek kitchen with everything needed for a self-catering holiday, opening onto an inviting lounge/diner overlooking the garden. Here, you can gather at the dining table for mealtimes as a group, before sinking into the L-shaped sofa with a glass of wine and your favourite show on the Smart TV. In the summer months, open the doors to the garden to enjoy indoor/outdoor living. Behind a door in the lounge, you’ll find a spiraling staircase leading to the first floor. Here, you’ll find two elegant bedrooms – a king-size and a double – along with a stylish shower room. The final bedroom is a master king-size on the second floor, with its own en-suite bathroom with an indulgent free-standing bath and separate rainfall shower.

Outside, the enclosed garden features a sunny patio area with built-in seating, providing the perfect spot for an al fresco drink at the end of a busy day. From here, steps lead to a small lawn area. A parking permit for on-street parking is provided for 1 car.

We had a lovely week-long stay at the Pink Door. The location was ideal for us - Henley in Arden is a pretty village with plenty of independently owned cafes and restaurants and well situated for visiting local sites and attractions. We also used the train to travel to Birmingham and found it very handy. The home was spotlessly clean with all we coRead moreuld need for our stay. The beds were super comfortable and the linens were hotel quality. Tracy was on hand to answer any questions we had and check in and out was easy. Recommend highly! Hide
